September with TWLOHA-WU!
During September, our UChapter is going to focus on suicide.
Suicide is a heavy topic, but most of us either have contemplated or attempted suicide, or know someone who has attempted or completed suicide.
Suicide doesn’t discriminate. It affects everyone in some form or another. Some statistics from TWLOHA:
2/3 people who struggle with depression do not seek help.
Untreated depression is the leading cause of suicide.
Suicide is the third leading cause of death among people ages 15-24.
There’s good news, though. Hope is alive, and it is our mission to make sure that as many people as possible know that. We want to help people find the help they need.
You cannot be replaced. Your story is important.
Join us this month as we talk about suicide and how to help those who are struggling with suicidal thoughts.
National Suicide Prevention week is September 9-13, and TWLOHA-WU will have a table set up all week in the Union!
