Let me tell you a thing... about the old days.
As most of you know I dropped off Tumblr when I injured my arm and now I mostly just lurk. So today I was lurking and I saw a multi-character story going on where I know two of the characters share a mun.
Do you know how easy you have it, to be able to switch so effortlessly between characters? DO YOU ?
When I started writing/playing (like, in the 90s) if I wanted to play from two handles at once (in a RP chat for example), I had to have two screen names - which had to be on separate (paid) accounts. Then I had to log in to those accounts from two separate computers and switch back and forth between the computers to post from the different handles. Heaven forbid I need to play two characters at once who have their handles on the same account!
Oh yeah, and for those computers to both be on the internet at the same time I had to have two separate PHONE LINES on which they could DIAL UP.
Now, of course, mostly I just write via Google Docs where I don’t have to worry about handles at all - but still - for places where you need handles, things are just so much easier. You whipper snappers have it pretty good when it comes to playing multiple characters at once!
