Been having fun talking about the Loki series. So I wanted to talk about my favorite scene from the finale.
So much happened in the finale. Some good, some bad, and a lot very confusing. But my favorite scene was one that was so cute.
After leading Loki and Sylvie to his office/den?, Kang offers them each a cup of tea/coffee. As he places each one on the little table, he says "Loki" looking at Loki, "and Loki" looking at Sylvie. And then adds "two sugars" before returning to his seat. And Loki and Sylvie cautiously sit looking ready to lung at any moment.
I just find it so cute that Kang made them a nice warm beverage after they traveled through the cold. So cute the way he said Loki each time. And I noticed after that he gave both sugars to Loki, and none for Sylvie. A little way of saying, Loki is the sweet one, and Sylvie likes her drinks black like her soul. A silly detail to add humor during this intense moment.
This big build up, and Kang breaks it by being a friendly hosts offering his guests a drink. Clearly Kang hasn't had many if any guests, other than Miss Minutes, in such a long time. He knows that the end is coming (thinking back to the death of the Ancient One in Dr. Strange) and he is looking for a chance to distract himself as the moment arrives.
It is also a great scene because of the way it parallels the Thor: Ragnarok scene when Thor meets Dr. Strange.
