Vintage postcard of the enchanting hillside home of world-renowned surgeon Dr. Gunter Grasse.
Though he looks intense and perhaps just a little psychotic posed with that large scalpel in his hand, Dr. Gunter Grasse was known throughout his working life as the kindest and gentlest man you could hope to meet, and specialized in the gentle removal of skin tags.
Only in his retirement did he get all murdery and whatnot, remodeling his two-car garage into Operating Theaters #1. and #2., which forced him to park his Porsche on the street.
He famously said, “It’s not ‘unnecessary surgery’ if you can’t stop performing it. No, sir, it is quite necessary. Quite necessary indeed!”
FUN FACT: Baby Gruenwald once looked into renting the doctor’s villa in Majorca as a place for some of his servants to stay when he accidentally brought too many domestics along on a weekend jaunt.
