I swear that some people don't see retail workers ad human. So your shopping experience wasn’t perfect, so you;re frustrated for a few hours. Meanwhile, your impatience and rudeness, multiplied by several other customers, can stay with me for literally days because I have to keep going back to that place every day and deal with more people just like you

Everyday I get closer to absolute apathy. Is that normal in customer service?

Customer: I want you to cater to my every whim

Same customer two seconds later: ... but you shouldn't get paid a living wage because you haven't earned it

I have determined that the phrase “the customer is always right” is one of the most entitled, selfish, elitist and rude statement in the english language

Why do customers say “I know this is not your fault” right before they start bitching me out for something that is, indeed, not my fault?

“I’ve never had this happen before”

So, whenever I run into a problem at work (can’t find a product, waiting for an unresponsive manager, that sorta thing) most times the customer will say sonething like, “I’ve never had this happen before.”

UUMMMM, ISN’T THAT A GOOD THING?!?!?!

Shouldn’t the fact that you’ve never had this happen before be an indicator that this problem is not a common occurrence? Shouldn’t that tell you that we’re usually on top of things and just having a little trouble now?

Must you be an asshole?

If our record is so spotless that this is literally the first time you’ve had a problem, could you have at least a little patience and common decency?

It happened again

Twice in two weeks, I explained a sale, said the estimated total, three times, and still when it was time to pay, I got the whole, “Oh, does it cost” question. Yes, that’s why I explained, MULTIPLE TIMES before I rang the total. Like, once I press the total button, it can’t be undone without a manager. So congrats, your idiocy has stopped the line.

I mean come on, you asked me the price. Don’t you think you shoulda listened to my answer?

Like, I know salespeople kinda sound the same, and I gotta say thanks for allowing me to go through the whole spiel, but the most important part of any sale, is the price. And when the cashier mentions it multiple times. that’s kinda a clue that you should pay attention.

Little rant 2

I can not stand it when coworkers talk to me like I’m an idiot. Like, I know, you’ve been here over thirty years, but it’s not like I got hired yesterday. Calm the hell down and let me do my job. damn
