What if Argos unintentionally and unknowingly made Mr Plant's separation anxiety worse? I think we all remember how in Mr Plant Sees The Stars mr plant was terrified at the idea of losing Argos forever.

Regardless of how you view the relationship Mr Plant and Mr Flower had (whether it was romantic or platonic) it seems pretty clear that he was someone Mr Plant cared about. Someone who was important to him and suddenly disappeared entirely from his life, someone who was important to him just to never see him again.

Do you think that when he couldn't find Argos anywhere he was also thinking back to that event? He had began loving and caring about someone again, and then he thought that person was also gone forever.

We don't see Mr Plant trying to reach out to Mr Flower, but he was actively looking for Argos. It makes me wonder what was different that time, maybe he didn't want to lose someone dear again?
