How I Found The Weekend Riot
4.28.2015 I found out about The Weekend Riot through the Orlando GWT stop back in 2015. I have to admit at first I had no clue who they were. However, during the concert when they performed I really enjoyed their music. So after the GWT is when I started to listen and become a fan of them. At first I have to admit I probably just listened to their music and watched their #RiotMonday videos but that was it because I was heavily devoted to IM5 at the time. But over time the two switched. It might have been due to the fact IM5 fell a part and I was looking for a new group to invest my time in or the fact that I just always laugh and smile watching their videos. They are incredibly funny, talented and care a lot about the Riot Squad. Honestly over this past year and a half I can say I truly am a fan and not half heartedly. They’re interactive and just a lot of fun to watch and good way to cheer back up. Now this is where things get sappy. IM5 was the music I listened to when I went through some tough times in 2013 but I have to say TWR is who I listened and watched back in March when going through some stuff. Back in March, I found out my dog had cancer and he was going to have to be put down. He was put down Monday March 14th, 2016 which is when their cover of All Time Low’s Missing You was uploaded. That song has a really special place it my heart. That cover every time I listen to it really helps me move on a little bit more each time. However, since then TWR’s cover and impression covers and music and all other videos along with #NoFilterTWR have really helped me. It helped/still helps me through the tough times. Honestly just thank you, thank you for helping me through the darkest of times. Also thank you for always making me laugh and smile by something funny you posted on Snapchat or a simple like or retweet. It may seem simple but it really helps a lot. Normally I’m more closed off and reversed but with some things I’ve learned recently I’ve learned never be afraid to share your story because you don’t know who it will help or who can relate. I want to say thank you TWR and thank you to the Riot Squad members I’ve started talking to. You all really mean a lot to me. 💗❤️💗 -Sam
Thanks for the submission, Sam! This is a really sweet story, I’m glad the boys have helped you!! -Josie
