breaking the ice ♫

Puffs of breath formed miniature clouds before his face while a figure wrapped up in fern colored pea coat stood to one side of the entrance at Rockefeller Center’s Rink. The cold was of little bother to someone raised in harsh, lengthy winters and a bemused deity found himself content to observe numerous people rushing about while indulging in his favorite past time, making up stories about them.
Once a bard, it would seem always a bard. Chanshik was quite in depth with the trials of a pair deemed Valkyries when something more interesting caught his eye. “Hey! Are you Seokjin? Please call me whatever your heart desires, but people tend to go with Chanshik these days.” Aiming his patented mega-watt smile at the other, inky waves swayed as his head tilted, winsome crinkles forming around cinnamon hues. “Oh my, I know this is supposed to be a blind date, but someone really should have warned me you were gorgeous.” Offering out his hand in typical mundy custom of the land, the poet teased lightly, “If I become too much in awe just wave your hand in front of my face, that usually works.”
Grasping a handle, he held open one door and swept the other arm behind his back. “After you.” Figuring most people did not have their own pair of skates these days, especially with the vast backgrounds residing in their little home away from home, Chanshik had left his back in the apartment. He asked for a pair of rentals in his size after purchasing two adult entrances, before turning to his date for the evening again. “Have you ever been ice skating before? It’s been one of my favorite ways to spend an evening since childhood.”
