Looking down at her phone, she couldn’t help but let a smile grow on her face as she texted her mom, telling the woman that she might be a bit late getting home. Or at least later than usual when she had afternoon practice with u’s. But it wasn’t because she was picking up a shift at work or getting extra time with teachers, nor was it because of Honoka or Umi. No, not even her best friends could have made her this mixture of love and joy. Only the girl she glanced up at standing at the school gates could make her feel these emotions on such an extreme level; the most amazing girl in the world...
“Nozomi!”
She called her girlfriend’s name, putting her phone in her pocket and then picking up the pace, a bit of extra pep in her step. It had felt like it had been so long since they had the chance to just hang out one on one, even moreso with no school the next day to restrict their time together. There had just been u’s practice and schoolwork and both of their jobs; a plethora of activities that kept them too busy. But now they had tonight, the thought so exciting that Kotori couldn’t help hugging the other tight when she got close enough, beaming a warm smile up at her.
“I hope you weren’t waiting too long; Umi and Maki just wanted to compare progress on all of our things so far, but now I’m all yours!”
