6. what are some/a kink that your muse wants to explore?

elodie — not sure if there's a Kink™ she wants to explore as such, but sometimes she really craves the sweet oblivion of someone absolutely ruining her without having to ask for it, so i guess whatever That is.

ardeth — he is an academically-minded and very gifted mage so unfortunately the first thing i thought of was Some kind of magic bullshit. it would serve the dual purpose of helping him get more comfortable using magic for his own ends (as opposed to the empire's ends) and perhaps drag a new reaction out of mr stoicism.

8. outside of the bedroom or domicile, where has your muse had sex?

elodie — alleyways, backstage, a balcony, a storage room. nothing too insane but she's definitely been in some Situations.

ardeth — before his crew crash-landed in zirinid he'd only had sex in tavern rooms or someone's quarters in the barracks, but i am sure that once he and ed figure their shit out they'd have one or two interesting adventures. stranded-in-the-wilderness boys make do. what is the point of being a wizard if you can't cast hallucinatory terrain + alarm at the mouth of a cave while you and your hot bodyguard go to town.

17. how confident is your muse in expressing their desires?

elodie — pretty confident on a casual basis, not confident at all on a more serious basis. if she realises her desire is getting too big and real she'd rather ruin the relationship. she's not great at asking for things within a relationship or sexual encounter either (unless she's desperate enough, which happens sometimes)

ardeth — not confident at all. he says what's on his mind pretty much all the time, but when it comes to desire there's a lot of mental hoops he has to jump through thanks to the empire conditioning. it takes him months to be able to admit that he wants to reciprocate ed's advances, even within the safety of his own thoughts.

How did your parties choose their names? Fire starters, for one, is WILD

The first party we had was called the Degenerates, after an NPC called them a group of degenerates and it stuck

The Fire Starters were named after we committed some form of arson (all in the name of stopping monsters and criminals of course!) in literally every session and we decided to lean in instead of not casting fireball at every opportunity

❤️ - How did your muse come to realize their romantic and sexual orientations? Was it difficult to accept? Are they proud of who they are?

elodie — at some point during the timeskip she became a teenager and started noticing things about people that she hadn't noticed before. it wasn't particularly difficult for her to accept that she was attracted to more than one gender, especially since there were queer people in her childhood, and i imagine the principality (where she ends up) is more open about sexuality than her tiny sheltered island was.

cian — honestly cian's still a little unsure about things. he hasn't had a lot of experience and the experience thus far wasn't enough to clarify everything. he definitely likes men 🤷‍♀️ he figured that one out for sure at 19 with a blacksmith apprentice. he's shy about affection and sexuality in general but that's not due to any shame about a specific sexuality, he's just Like That across the board.

🎶 - What kind of music does your muse listen to? Do they have a favorite genre? Do you think the aux cord would be taken away from them?

elodie — hmm this is tricky, i'm not quite sure yet? i imagine she'd have eclectic taste and enjoy slightly odd music, but i'm also leaning towards saying she'd be a hyperpop girlie. dissociating while blasting peppy tunes about misery is kind of the vibe.

cian — he gives me soulful singer-songwriter energy. guy who would curl up and have a bit of a cry to a noah kahan or mitski or dermot kennedy album. think he'd also like folk music and instrumental stuff.

🍡 - Can your muse cook? Can they bake? How well can they do either? Do they have any kitchen disaster stories?

elodie — she's a bad cook because her sibling alis was always a very good cook and therefore elodie had no real need to learn. she can make enough to survive but it won't taste good, and she'd always rather just buy a meal. baking is off the table completely.

I’ve only been following you for about three years, but the constant, visible improvement of your art has been an inspiration to me to keep at my writing, in hopes that it improve at a similar rate. It’s been incredible to see your art quirks become actual hallmarks of your style, and to see you master things you used to bemoan in the tags. Also Esiael is the COOLEST

4. Has your character ever been hurt or betrayed by someone they thought they could depend on? What happened?

I think he felt pretty betrayed when he realized his parents were not the people they claimed to be, and their involvement with the criminal underworld of their city while still being prominent nobles really threw him for a loop. The BIGGEST betrayal was when he realized that his brother was actually NOT on his side and had thrown in with their parents instead. He thought that Rhistel was someone he could rely on to do the Right, Lawful Thing and instead Rhistel revealed his own selfishness and greed right as Esiael was planning to break away and challenge his parent’s right to authority. It was a huge blow to him.

9. Is the character a victim of abuse?

Not really, at least from a young age. His childhood was relatively good: he lived comfortably with reasonably supportive, if a little distant, parents, and had a brother who he adored and trusted. Most of the hardships he faces come later in life after realizing that everyone else in his family has a MUCH different set of priorities than him after learning about how people are being hurt by their actions. Esiael values justice so much more than personal gain, mostly as a result of having a connection to the celestial and good examples of how to be a Just Person, but his family is mostly the opposite and indulges in selfishness instead of kindness and generosity. 

22. If they could change just one thing about themselves, what would it be?

Esiael is not necessarily a fan of being an Aasimar. He’s the only one in his family, and it’s always been a slight point of jealously between him and his older human brother Rhistel. His brother feels he has to prove himself to be stronger and more capable than him at all times, while Esiael could conceivably get away with a lot more in his parent’s eyes while they were growing up. Esiael thinks that if Rhistel didn’t feel the need to prove himself to his parents and to the world because Esiael wasn’t blessed by a celestial, then maybe Rhistel might have sided with him against their parents.
