Diner Dinner | Jenna, Katherine, Tyler
Jenna stepped into the Diner and found herself a booth and sat down. Granny immediately brought over her normal hot chocolate, and she gave the woman a smile, then pulled out her phone to text Katherine that she had just sat down. She knew Tyler would show up whenever he was done with work.
Katherine: received a text from Jenna asking where she was just as she approached the diner's door. Katherine rolled her eyes, closed the phone and opened the door. She surveyed the room until she found the familiar orange hair of a certain Jenna Sommers. She made her way over to Jenna, scooting in the side of the booth that faced the woman. "Miss me Sommers?" she asked with her usual smirk.
Jenna roller her eyes at Katherine as she sat down. "Ohhh Sooo Muchhh," she said with a grin. "Where's your new cohort in trouble this evening?"
Katherine: scoffed. "Rude." she picked up the menu and went straight for the alcohol portion of the menu, frowning when there appeared to be not many options. Scowling she flicked the menu down. "I could ask you the same question. Now, where's your 'hunky' boyfriend." letting the word boyfriend roll off her tongue much longer than the other words.
Jenna smirked at Katherine. "Only things that granny serves here, sweetie, is beer and wine. No liquor. I said let's go to the Briar, but you wanted Granny's. Nice outfit by the way." She smirked, not even glancing at the menu, already knowing what she would eat. Thursdays was always lasagna. She took a sip of her hot chocolate. "At work," she said with a shrug. "He'll stop by if he can." Boyfriend. She still loved the sound of that.
Katherine: groaned. "Looks like I'll have to stick with the cheap shit." she set the menu down and put her full attention on Jenna. She tucked a loose curl behind her ear and winked. "I try." It never hurts to dress a little slutty. Who knows, maybe Kol could stop by. "He never seems to get a break." Katherine has no idea how Jenna could date a cop, Katherine cant stand being in the same room as one for more than a few hours let alone months and years. "I would hope so."
Jenna laughed to herself, shaking her head at Katherine. She was so much younger, and Jenna forgot that too often. "Grown ups have to work, Katherine. You would think that I never got a break either, if you were actually awake when I went to work." When was the last time that Katherine had actually been up at six am, and it was after really sleeping. "Next Girl's night, we'll go to The Briar. There is a waitress there Lydia wants to go threaten, so we'll drag her out next time."
Katherine: laughed. "Please don't use the whole 'i'm an adult so that means I cant live my life' speech." she was sick of hearing that, if her mother was around, she'd say the exact same thing. Katherine started tapping her fingers impatiently as she waited for one of the bloody waiters or waitresses to come and serve them. "I'm awake all hours of the night, Jenn." Sleep was a stranger to Kat. "Oh? I second that notion."
Tyler walked into Granny's, knowing he was late. He probably couldn't stay too long as he was in his uniform and just on an eating break, but it was different and a little amusing that Katherine and Jenna wanted him there. "Hey," he greeted, walking over to their booth and sliding in next to Jenna.
Jenna rolled her eyes at Katherine. "You will never be an adult, kitty Kat, and trust me, we're all fine with that." She heard the door open and felt a weight slide in beside her. She grinned at Tyler and leaned forward to give him a peck on the cheek. "Hey. How is work going?" she asked.
Katherine: grinned and looked down at her poor excuse of a menu. No alcohol my ass. "Yeah..well...If being an adult is that boring, I much prefer the party life." Looked up and closed her menu shut when Tyler made his way towards their booth. "Hey Lockwood. Late much?" she teased with a grin.
Tyler smiled when Jenna kissed him and looked at Katherine, shaking his head. "I'm barely late, Pierce, relax your panties. And work is work," he replied to Jenna, glancing at the menu.
Katherine: scoffed going back to her menu. "Catch any bad guys today, Lockwood?" she asked with a hint of amusement in her voice.
Tyler "The night is still young. Who knows? Maybe I'll be seeing you under different circumstance tonight, Pierce...like when I'm arresting you. What are you wearing anyway?"
Jenna rolled her eyes at Katherine's joke and sat back to watch the two.
Katherine: leaned forward. "Something I tried to get your girlfriend to wear but alas, she insisted on formal clothes." she leaned back and smirked at the couple. "You two are precious."
Jenna glared at Katherine and pouted her lips. "What's so wrong with a cute little dress and a sweater? I teach teenagers, Kat. And I'm on my feet all day. I have cute shoes for after work."
Tyler "If Jenna wore something like that in public, I'd probably wonder what costume party she was going to," Tyler said, laughing softly. A waitress came over to take their order and he ordered a root beer with a cheeseburger and fries.
Katherine: raised her hands up in a surrender gesture. "I meant no harm, just my style OCD kicking in."
Jenna looked down at her dress for a moment again and shrugged. "I like to dress comfortably, and not seduce my students." She smiled up at Tyler, glad he wasn't bothered by her casual attire. So simple and easy between them. "What's Bex up to today?"
Katherine: looked up at the waitress and scowled. "Took you long enough. I'll have some wine and some fried pickles on the side, thanks." she practically threw her menu at the poor girl. Katherine did warn them that she was impatient. "I've been keeping her busy." she simply shrugged.
Jenna offered the waitress a smile and ordered lasagna. "Thanks," she said softly. Poor girl, dealing with the Pierce temper. "Keeping her busy?"
Tyler "Yeah where is Rebekah?" he asked. "She was in quite the mood the other day." He frowned at Kat's treatment of the waitress and draped an arm over the back of the booth. "Yes, do elaborate on this busyness."
Katherine: "Need I really explain?" she raised her left eyebrow as if it wasn't obvious.
Jenna glanced at Tyler, then shrugged a little. "I just meant keeping her busy with Kitty, or are you still unpacking those terrible boxes we had to pack?"
Tyler "Is there something else going on besides you two being roommates?" Tyler asked, looking to Jenna and then back at Katherine.
Jenna snorted to herself. "Katherine is sleeping with a different Mikaelson," she said softly.
Katherine: laughed. "Kol and Stefan were gone so we improvised. No biggie." she glanced between the two and suddenly felt uncomfortable. "Like Kitty would go anywhere near Rebekah. Kitty is a mama's boy and a mama's boy only." the waitress returned with Tyler's fries and gave a weak smile to Kat which she blew off with an eye roll. She plucked a fry from Tyler's basket once it was set down and ate it before he could protest.
Jenna felt her eyes go wide, and burst out laughing. "Oh my god, seriously?"
Katherine: nodded while chewing the fry. "She's not bad at all." she stole another fry but almost managed to loose her hand from Tyler's swats in the process.
Jenna shrugged a little. "You two are just so..." she tried to find the right word. "... needy? selfish? I'm just a little surprised that you two have become such good friends." She reached over and grabbed one of Tyler's fries and gave him a smile as she ate it.
Tyler watched both ladies eat his fries and frowned. "Order your own fries," he said, moving the basket out of their reach. He looked at Katherine, not really knowing what to say. "So, you and Rebekah...um, wow."
Katherine: "A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do." she gave a knowing look Jenna's way and turned and gave Tyler an innocent wink.
Jenna shrugged a little and took a sip of her drink. "Hey, as long as the boys don't mind..." She could only imagine Kol's response when he found out.
Tyler looked at Jenna. "Do you do girl things when you gotta do what you gotta do?" he asked, holding in his laugh. "You do have a lot of girl friends."
Katherine: took a sip of her wine that the waitress had brought out extra quickly and mimicked Jenna's shrug. "Like I care what Kol thinks." she placed her drink down. "Its not like we're dating." she nearly chocked on her next sip at Tyler's question.
Jenna rolled her eyes as she looked up at Tyler. "You're hilarious, but no. I've tried to convince Lydia a few times we should get married, but we both agree - the male body is so much better." She winked at him and smirked at Katherine. "You just seemed to like him is all."
Tyler "It looks like Katherine likes many of the Mikaelsons." He groaned when Jenna elbowed him. "I mean hey you can do whatever you want girl. Awesome." His burger came along with the girls' food and he didn't realize how hungry he was until he took his first bite of the burger, his eyes closing in satisfaction.
Jenna smiled to herself, and went to take a bite of her food, but paused, and instead bent forward to whisper into Tyler's ear while he was mid bite. "I don't think any girl could duplicate the perfect way you roll your hips while you're deep inside of me." She winked at Katherine and sat back to take a bite of her food.
Katherine: scowled at Tyler's messy eating habits. One of the many things she hated about the male population. "Please close your mouth." she rolled her eyes and turned back towards Jenna. "I only feel attached to him, is all." she gave a small smile then stole another fry off Tyler's plate without him noticing. "Enought about me. I must know, how'd you two meet? Or how did this," she motioned between the two. "Happen?"
Jenna shook her head at Kat. "Katherine Pierce doesn't get attached. Stop trying to kid yourself."
Katherine: looked down at her fidgeting hands then back up. "I don't know what it is about that damn Mikaelson that has me all in a mess of emotions..."
Jenna raised her eyebrow a little. "Seems like all of them get under your skin in some form."
Tyler almost choked on his food with Jenna's whispered words. He took a long drink from his soda before turning his head to slowly look at her. He had nothing to say to that so instead he looked at Katherine. "Is he cool or what? I only really know Rebekah."
Jenna turned to Tyler to explain the Mikaelsons. "Elijah is the oldest and he works as a Doctor and he's marrying Elena. Klaus is the one that Jackson punched at the Grind. Kol is the one in love with his baseball bat."
Katherine: shrugged and continued chewing. "It's like a disease or some shit." One that Kat needs to get under control. She nodded her head in a yes motion at Tyler's question. Offering some of her fried pickles his way.
Jenna grinned and enjoyed more of her lasagna. "The Mikaelsons are unavoidable, sweetie."
Katherine: flicked one of the ugly pickles at Jenna. "Not when it's me we're talking about." she offered Jenna a napkin.
Tyler "I know who they are," he said, laughing softly. "I just mean I only really know Rebekah as a person. But that's good, as long as Kat and he aren't doing indecent things in public..." He took another bite of his food, realizing that her earlier question was never answered. "We just...I don't know. We just got to talking, had some drinks, and the rest I'm sure you know."
Katherine: "So typical love story?" she asked
Jenna picked up the pickle and ate it, then smiled at Katherine. It took her a moment to realize what Tyler was talking about. "Actually, she doesn't," she said softly. She hadn't really shared the details with anyone other than Lydia.
Tyler "No love," he said, hoping that wouldn't offend Jenna. "But, definitely a liking and a good start." He looked at Jenna and shrugged. "We had drunk sex one night and realized we liked each other's company sober, too."
Katherine: made a purring sound at Tyler's comment. "How's the sex?" The two's eyes got wide and Katherine started laughing. "I kid I kid." she takes another bite of her pickle, still giggling.
Jenna smiled at Tyler and nodded. "Exactly. We had fun at the Grind that one night and then he came over and we talked and... it works." She took another sip of her drink, and she shook her head at Katherine. "I'm sorry, Kitty Kat, but I don't kiss and tell."
Katherine: "Lame" she responded with a pout
Tyler "What's the big deal if we give her a little teaser?" he asked, wrapping his arm around Jenna and smiling. "The sex is awesome. We've only done it twice but she's pretty great."
Jenna laughed at Tyler's words and shifted a little closer to him. "It's really good." Her cheeks burned a little, thinking about it. "And yeah, only twice, but there will be more to come." She glanced down, thinking about the next time it would happen. "Amazing, even." Best of her life.
Katherine: "I knew I liked you." she reached over and highfived Tyler. "I approve." she gave the two a thumbs up and then proceeded back to her pickle eating.
Tyler "Yes there will be more," he reassured Jenna. "I'm just not scheduling it like appointments." He ate one of his fries and smiled at Katherine. "What about you? Who's the better Mikaelson?"
Jenna laughed. "If only you didn't work tonight," she whispered into his ear, and kissed the side of his neck before returning to her food. "This is something I want to know."
Katherine: smirked. "Rebekah's great with her fingers but Kol is amazing with his mouth."
Jenna felt her cheeks burn, thinking about Tyler's mouth. "Interesting."
Tyler "Maybe you'll get lucky and they'll tag team you," Tyler said, holding back his laugh. "We need to find Katherine a real boyfriend," he said to Jenna, kissing her temple softly. "Someone who makes her act like a lady for once."
Jenna looked at Tyler in wonder. "I thought you wanted to avoid all drama, and now you're playing matchmaker? Officer Lockwood, am I rubbing off onto you?"
Katherine: ran out of wine and waved the waitress over with a snap. Perks of being both feared and loved in this town. "Don't get your hopes up, Officer. I'm in no way up for a full time relationship."
Tyler nodded his head at Jenna. "Yeah, you're right. I need to stay out of it. Just, be careful, Pierce. You don't annoy me so much anymore and I'd hate to see you get hurt." He thought about the conversation he'd had with her a few days back and how nice it had been to see her open up. He knew there was a semi-good person inside of Katherine somewhere, and maybe she'd show it more someday.
Jenna shook her head slightly at the way Katherine spoke to the waitress. She loved Kat and knew that she had a good heart and was a good friend, but sometimes she forgot what a real bitch she was. "I think you and Kol are cute together. You're both rather crazy and fun."
Katherine: rolled her eyes at Jenna's judgey glance as the waitress brought her wine over. Jenna knew what kind of person Kat was and if she was willing to be her friend she'll just have to deal with how she is."Thanks Officer but I've got it covered." she gave Tyler one of her rare genuine smiles. Glad that she made a friend out of this. "Not to mention the sex is amazing." she sighs dreamily and takes a swig of her wine.
Jenna glanced at Tyler, letting him lock his eyes with hers before she spoke. "Amazing sex is good and all, Katherine, but you need to find someone that respects you and cares about you for more than just your body." She smiled at him as she finished speaking.
Tyler nodded his head at Katherine. "She'll find someone when she's ready," he conceded. "Katherine doesn't wanna be tied down I bet."
Katherine: gave a thumbs up. "You're correct, Lockwood."
Tyler "Just make sure you're safe too. I can't imagine you as a mother." He shivers for dramatic effect before winking at her.
Jenna shrugged her shoulders at that. "All good, Kat. Just saying, you deserve a guy that respects you." She thought about Kat as a other and shook her head. "She's safe. I yell at her daily to wrap it."
Katherine: "Do you take me for some inexperienced hoe? I know how to keep it safe." she flicked a half eaten pickle at Tyler which hits him directly on the forehead. "That's what you get for shivering at the thought of me being a mother, dick." she flipped her almond locks in a 'bitch in charge' way
Jenna pursed her lips and glares at Katherine. "You're no longer in High School, Kat. Don't play with your food. Unless you're in bed." She added a wink at the end, showing it was all a tease.
Tyler laughed when the pickle hit him and wiped his face with a napkin. "What can I say? Truth hurts?" His phone buzzed and he looked down at it, sighing. "Looks like I have to go, ladies."
Jenna pouted out her lip a little, knowing Tyler was only here for his break, and leaned forward to give him a kiss. "Stay safe, and have a good night."
Katherine: "Dick" she mumbled. "Don't get shot!"
Jenna glared at Katherine. "Don't joke like that!" Not in this town. Not after all the deaths that had occurred.
Tyler kissed Jenna back and cupped her cheek, brushing his thumb along her cheekbone. "Don't worry. I'll come by after my shift. But, it'll be in the middle of the night so I don't have to." He stuck his tongue out at Katherine. "Be nice to me, I could save you from being arrested someday."
Jenna leaned forward and kissed Tyler again softly. "You know where the key is." She had one in a flower pot for just in case moments for Lydia and Elena.
Katherine: "The best I can do is offer you a smile." which she did, and an adorable one at that, if she's being honest. "Be safe, Lockwood." she raised her glass.
Tyler "Aww see, she does have a heart," he teased, getting up from the booth. He kissed Katherine on the top of her head and made sure to pay at the register for their food. He gave the waitress a really nice tip and made sure to leave extra for Katherine's bottomless glasses of wine. "Behave girls. Don't gossip about me too much," he said, waving as he walked out of the diner.
Katherine: hummed and gave Jenna a teasing smirk. "Thanks for paying, loser." she took one last swig of her drink before leaning back against her side of the booth. She closed her eyes and responded. "I cant promise anything."
Jenna winked at Tyler and watched him kiss the top of Katherine's head, then waited till he left before turning slowly to look at her friend. "Well, shit Katherine. Seems like you have another friend! What the hell did you two talk about the other day?"
Katherine: "A girl never makes a friend and tells." she sticks out her tongue, eyes still closed.
Jenna rolled her eyes at that and sat back to finish her food. She hated that Tyler had to leave, but she smiled to herself, loving the way he had kissed her. "Well, I'm just amused that you have made friends is all. You hardly even accept my friendship at times."
Katherine: peeked open one eye. "Its because friendship is a weird topic for me." She remembers being a freshman in highschool and dumping a pile of sauce all over Tyler for cheating on Caroline. Man times have changed. "And don't think I didn't see that little moment between you two right before he left, now that's what I call a kiss goodbye." she moved over to Jenna's side and nudged the girl.
Jenna felt her cheeks go red and glanced down into her lap. "Yeah, I guess so." She smiled, thinking about it all. "So we're dating. It happens." It was happening to her!
Katherine: gave a small punch to Jenna's arm. "It doesn't JUST happen, Sommers. But fine. Be shy. I'll get how you really feel out of you eventually."
Jenna rolled her eyes and rubbed at her arm. She had heard Kat mention love, and Tyler had explained it perfectly. "I'm not in love with him, Kat, if that's what you're trying to say. I just really like him."
Katherine: threw her hands up in the air. So much for being that nosy friend. "I was just trying out being a friend. I hated it." she moved back to her spot on the other side of the booth and continued on her pickles.
Jenna smiled and shook her head a little. "Love doesn't just happen, Kat. That being said, I do like him, and perhaps one day I will love him, but for now, we've got a really god start. It's not just about the sex. If he comes over tonight after work, he'll likely just crawl into bed with me for a few hours before I have to leave for school. We're both busy people, but the time we spend together is always... perfect."
Katherine: felt envious of Jenna in that moment. Having someone that will come home after a long day at work and cuddle up with you and whisper sweet things in your ear. Katherine wanted that. I wonder if Kol would let her come over and just let her lay with him, no sex. A part of her told her that it was stupid, once a man whore always a man whore. But, another side, a growing side, is telling her that he did admit that he was having a similar feeling as she, which excited her but scared her just as much. "I believe it."
Jenna nodded her head a little and nodded. "We're just taking it one day at a time. He doesn't come over every day nor do we even talk every day, but we make it work." She picked up her mug and took a sip of it, then settled back in her chair.
Lets Get Official | Tyenna
Jenna laid in her bed, curled up, definitely buzzed, holding her almost empty bottle of bourbon with tears running down her face. She had finally told Lydia about what had happened with Peter, but things were confusing with Tyler after last night and Derek was mad and she hated all of the drama that it felt like she had caused. Tyler hadn't called her since the night before, and she was out of pie. It was set up to be a miserable Sunday.
Tyler walked up the walk to Jenna's front door and took a deep breath. He couldn't believe he had gotten drunk last night and he couldn't believe he'd drunk texted Jenna. The last thing he'd wanted was any kind of drama and now he had it with Jenna and possibly with his co-worker, Derek. He ran a hand through his hair and knocked on her door softly, waiting a few moments to no reply. The cop in him made him check her door handle and it wiggled free, the door opening. "Jenna?" he called, hoping that everything was okay.
Jenna heard someone at her door and sat up, trying to think of who would be coming over. Lydia was with Peter, Kat and Bex were having drama, Caroline was with Stiles, Derek was being a grump... Tyler! She heard her front door open and she began trying to scrub the tears off her face. "In my room!" she called out, her voice a little choked. She grabbed the bottle and shoved the top back onto it and put it under her bed, not wanting Tyler to see or know what was going on. She had to tell him about Peter too.
Tyler closed her front door and walked to her bedroom, standing in the doorway when he saw her laying there. It was obvious she had been crying and he wasn't sure if it was because of him or something else. Knowing Jenna and the drama that followed her, it was probably something new. "Is everything okay?" he asked, already sure that she wasn't.
Jenna looked up at him slowly, and bit her bottom lip as he stood there. "Just bullshit drama," she said, shaking her head. "But I brought this on myself. It's gonna be alright, but I just needed to cry it out." God, as if she could actually have kept anything from him. She pushed herself up off the bed and walked over to him slowly, wanting to reach for a hug, but not sure what was on his mind after his drunk texting. "How are you feeling?"
Tyler "I am feeling, like a complete jackass," he said, noticing she kept her distance. Was it better this way between them right now? He didn't know, but he also didn't like adding to the crap in her life especially after she had told him how good he made it. "I need to apologize, for my behavior last night."
Jenna nodded a little, then shook her head. "You shouldn't feel like a jackass. It was kind of cute that you chose me of all people to drunk dial." She couldn't hide a little smile, thinking about how amused she had been. "I think we have all made mistakes while drunk, and we just have to accept it and move on." Now wasn't the time to mention Peter. She reached out a hand to him, wanting him to take it so she could pull him back to her bed to lay down with her, or pull him against her to hug him, or just something.
Tyler hesitantly took her hand and squeezed it. "Well, I shouldn't have been so rude, I guess. Look, I'm not jealous of you and Derek. I don't care what you did before me, or even now I guess, because technically we aren't exclusive." He didn't like the idea of them seeing others but it was true, they didn't have the boyfriend and girlfriend titles established. "I was mad because there I was trying to make friends with the grumpiest man on earth and then it turns out you kissed him and his boy was upsetting you and he's telling me not to hurt you and it was all a lot."
Jenna nodded her head. Okay, maybe it was the right time to tell him about Peter. "I understand, being annoyed with Derek and all. He is a grump. Thanks for trying to make friends with him, regardless of your reasons." She squeezed his hand back and pulled him a step closer to her so they were almost touching. "And thank you for caring that much about me. Stiles and I are good now." She looked away from him for a moment, wishing they were exclusive. It would destroy her if he kissed someone else. "I should probably tell you now that a few weeks ago, I got really drunk at the bar... and I kissed Peter. Twice." She looked up at him, hoping he wouldn't be mad, but she had to tell him before he found out from someone else.
Tyler was shocked. He had no idea what to say to her. He'd come over to deal with her kissing Derek and now she'd kissed his boss, the Sheriff...twice? He took a deep breath and sat down on the edge of her bed, placing his hands in his lap. "Well, okay. Was this before he was with Lydia?"
Jenna looked up at the ceiling, and tried to gather herself together. "It was the night of their first date," she choked out. "I didn't know that they were going on a date, nor do I even remember the kiss. My drunk texting told me." Tears started running down her face as she thought back on it. "And this is why I'm such a mess today. I told Lydia. She forgave me, and we're fine, but I still feel like I betrayed her. I seriously don't..." She looked at Tyler, feeling a mess. "I'm sorry I've brought so much bullshit to your life." She had to force the words out. Her entire body hurt, not knowing how he would react.
Tyler wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her so her head could rest against him. He sighed. "I'm not mad, Jenna. I don't care what you did before we hooked up. That would be dumb. I guess I'm just confused. You kiss Derek, Peter, me...do you even want this to happen?"
Jenna rested her head on his shoulder and couldn't stop her tears. "I don't even have a reason for the Peter kiss except that I was drunk and wanted to piss off Faye, who he was there with, and the whole Derek thing was drunk loneliness." She was scared of losing him, she realized. Sitting there with him, there was a real possibility she could lose Tyler, before she had ever really had him. "When you say I came out of no where, you came out of no where. After that stupid ball, I had come to realize that I didn't want to be seeing anyone. I wanted to just deal with myself. And then you came in at the Grind and we started talking about reading and going on walks and you found me beautiful, and on a whim I invited you over, and I haven't regretted that for even a moment. When I decided that I wanted to be alone, I found this amazing guy that makes me regret all of the stupid things I did before him." She was crying now, unable to get herself together.
Tyler moved his hand to her cheeks to wipe her tears away. He hated that she was crying and that he was only adding to it. He hadn't come here to make her feel worse, he'd come here to apologize and set things right. "I know. I'm sorry, I know," he said, sighing. "I just, I hadn't expected everything that's happened. The first time was just about sex but this last time, I was actually really feeling something for you. When I called you my woman, I meant it. I don't like the idea of you with others. I don't like not knowing things like you have history with my coworkers. I just, I don't know, Jenna girl."
Jenna felt her heart race. She had been so scared that he hadn't meant the whole 'his woman' thing, but hearing him repeat it now... She sat up and wiped the tears off her face, not wanting to cry anymore. She wasn't some high school girl. She looked up at Tyler, straight in the eye, and told herself it was now or never. "I don't want to see anyone else, Tyler. I don't want to be with anyone else. And I would hate seeing you with someone else." She bit her lip and looked away from him, not wanting to say too much. "I know we weren't together then, or whatever this is, but I figured you had a right to know. I don't want secrets between us."
Tyler "I don't want any secrets either," he agreed. He pulled her into a hug and kissed the top of her head. "I'm not mad that you kissed those guys. I really don't care. But, thank you for telling me about Peter. It's better to find out from you than from someone else trying to start drama." Tyler knew what Jenna was saying with her words and he knew it was really important to her for him to make things exclusive between the two of them. He was learning that Jenna was a person who held onto words and who liked knowing exactly where things stood. He figured it was time to put her out of her misery; maybe then, she'd start to relax more and not be so high strung and over-think things when it came to them. "I'll make a deal with you."
Jenna melted into his arms, so glad that he was alright with all of this. Him just holding her, kissing her head, letting her know it was okay... she hadn't realized how badly she needed his acceptance until it all came pouring out. She rested her head on his shoulder and nodded her head a little, wondering what the hell he wanted to make a deal over. "A deal? Let's hear it." Her tears had thankfully stopped.
Tyler took a deep breath before he spoke. "If you promise to honestly cut down the drama, between your friends and between us," he started, looking down at their hands. "I'll give us the title that I know you so secretly want. This means, no more thinking I don't like you as much as you like me and no more spazzing out over the small stuff. You'll need to relax more and just let things happen and be happy. That's the only way it'll work."
Jenna studied their hands, still locked together as he spoke, and she realized how childish she had been acting. She had constantly been hinting that she wanted more than just a casual thing with him, which she did. It had been casual sex, then an easy friendship, and yet she had wanted more. It mattered to her, because she wanted an official label on something she felt so strongly for. She almost wanted to protest, and say that she didn't want him to put a label on them just because she wanted it but... he wouldn't say this unless he wanted it to. When Tyler said something, she was starting to realize that he really meant it. "Even if you didn't put a label on us, I want to cut down on the drama anyways. It isn't fair to you, and it's stressful on me. Both of us, really. And I won't deny it. I want... I want to be that, with you. Yours."
Tyler listened as she spoke, glad she she was agreeing with him. "I don't want drama period. I want to be one of the normal couples in town. I think we can really make this work." He leaned in and pecked her lips softly. "So, Jenna Sommers, do you want to be my girlfriend?"
Jenna nodded her head and let out a sigh. "This drama is exhausting. Let's never get involved with any drama again?" She went silence as he kissed her lips and she returned it, then smiled at him as he asked her the question. "Hmm, I'm going to have to say yes, Tyler Lockwood," she said, and leaned in to kiss him again. God, why had she been so stupidly nervous? Her hand slid up to wrap around behind his neck, and she kissed him again, slowly enjoying his lips against hers.
Tyler smiled against her lips, instantly sensing her happiness and glad that he could give it to her. He wasn't interested in anyone else in town so asking Jenna to be his girlfriend wasn't him sacrificing much. He brushed his nose against hers and laughed softly, pulling away. "So, we're okay then?"
Jenna nodded against his lips, and gave him a little peck again. "We always were okay, Tyler. Even with your drunk texting last night..." She couldn't help but laugh a little, thinking about the night before. "That being said, did you honestly say you were going to buy me a vibrator?"
Tyler "Oh god," Tyler said, shaking his head. "Yeah, I guess I did."
Jenna couldn't help but to laugh. "I have to admit, that one threw me for a loop."
Tyler "I honestly have no idea why I said that. I don't think you'll be needing one of those dating me."
Jenna smirked a little. He didn't know she had been wearing lingerie all day under her clothes in the hopes he would come over. "I think I have to agree with you on that," she whispered, and gave him a wink. She still felt bad from all of her crying and she knew he was too hungover to try and initiate sex, but she did so enjoy teasing him.
Tyler "Well, I'm happy we agree that my manhood is enough," he said, laughing softly. He let his hand travel up her thigh before pulling it away and standing up abruptly. "Well, if that's all then...'
Jenna caught her breath for a moment as he touched her leg, but then pouted when he stood up. "Hey!" she said, and stood up with him, only to wrap her arms around his neck and kiss him hard on the mouth. After a few moments, she pulled away. "Your tongue is pretty good too, but I think next time I'll have to show you what my mouth can do." She gave him another wink and pulled away from him. Two could play that game.
Tyler Tyler groaned when she kissed him, his lips puckering out when she pulled away. He pulled her against his body again and smacked her bottom playfully, arching his eyebrows. "Maybe I'll just have to behave then."
Jenna laughed as he pulled her back into his arms. This was exactly what she wanted. Why couldn't they always be this happy? "I kind of like it when you misbehave," she said, wrapping her arms around his neck as she looked up at him.
Tyler "Yeah? Well maybe I'll have to drunk text you more often and hope that you still like my misbehaving then." He leaned down and pecked her lips. "Wanna go eat at Granny's?"
Jenna smiled up at him and returned the peck. "Are you asking me on a date, Mr Lockwood?"
Tyler "I was more asking if you wanted to go eat because I'm going to go eat, but okay a date if you want?"
Jenna rolled her eyes. "I was teasing you, Tyler." She looked down at her clothes, and laughed a little. "I probably need to throw some other clothes on, but yes. I'm starving, and I don't feel like battling my kitchen today."
Tyler "Hurry up," he said, smacking her bottom again and stepping out of the room so that she could go change. Things seemed to be looking up for him finally and he hoped it was going to stay that way.
Jenna laughed and softly pushed him from her room as she went to change. This was she loved about them. Everything was finally back to being perfect.
The Talk | Tyenna
Jenna saw Tyler's patrol car pull up outside of the Diner and hopped down from her chair at the counter. She hadn't expected him to get there so fast, and she wasn't quite sure what she would say yet. She hurried out the doors, not wanting to keep him waiting, and got inside. After buckling herself, she turned to look at the man beside her.
"Hey," she said softly, wearing a smile. All she could think about was kissing those lips again. Would he stop her? He had said that he didn't regret the other night. "Thanks for the ride home, again."
Restlessness | Tyler and Jenna
Jenna stepped into The Grind and took off her jacket. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday night and she made her way towards a table near the bar. After putting her jacket over a chair, she stepped over and ordered herself a beer. Once it was handed to her, she sat down, and waited for Tyler to appear. She was kind of early, having expected dinner with Derek to have lasted longer.
His car pulled up in the parking lot and she took a sip of her beer, then sat back nonchalantly as if she had no cares. She had no idea why he had texted her after they spoke out in town. He had realized she was a little angry at his words, but she still wasn't quite certain why she had been. Perhaps it had been because she was awkwardly attempting to flirt and he had said he was just joking... but then why had he mentioned wanting to hang out tonight?
