Dinner with the Family
“And-, and then she said: Yes, let’s throw them into the river! Like Muggles! Who throw their waste into the river!” And he was laughing a lot at his, because it had made him laugh a lot back then, too, and even if he had most likely fucked up the pointe again, he still found it very funny.
They were sat at the table in the girls’ cabin of Haus Bronze, each a tea of cup in their hands. Maya and Geba were upstairs, probably napping a bit before the Second Years would come from their duty of picking the vegetables for dinner. It was a Monday afternoon, cloudy and dark outside, but not rainy and windy, as though the world was standing still. It had been like this for about three days now, however, inside Haus Bronze you did not notice the suffocating silence that lay thickly in the air outside. On the contrary. It was warm and cozy inside the cabins, and the scent of Maya’s herbal tea was as always like a comforting blanket to Adelor.
The Gymnastic Club had been cancelled today, and upon hearing of it, Adelor had swiftly caught Tyl on the hallway and decided that today was going to be the day they’d have dinner at Haus Bronze together. So since their last period had ended at three o’clock, they were now sitting in the cabin, waiting for the Second Years to join them.
