For Tyler Dasher

An innocent baby laid his head to sleep

not knowing that tonight's dreams he would keep

He heard a church bell ring while the Heavens began to sing

It was then that Tyler Dasher got his wings

God awakened him with a beautiful light

He said "Don't worry, my child, I will make things right

In Heaven there is no pain or fear

for I am always near

You were made in my likeness and you are a perfect child"

Finally, Tyler could smile

Yet, he still wondered what God needed a baby for

and why his mom can't hold him anymore

God then broke apart the sky

and said "My precious child, you may now fly"

He flew through the trees

and became the falling Autumn leaves

Then he flew through his home

where he made his comforting presence known

He glided through the clouds

Soon enough the night's glistening stars were found

Tyler decided this would be a nice place to stay

because, no matter what, everyone can look his way

And when they do, they'll know he's in Heaven, not too far above

where he can fly through God's grace and everlasting love

Although, I did not know Tyler or Shelby personally, my heart still aches for this innocent child and those who loved him. Many of my friends knew them, making me even more upset. I never thought something like this would happen so close to my home and to people I love and care about. May this child rest in peace.

An update on the baby boy being murdered...

I wrote about how the baby boy who was reported missing yesterday morning had been found dead by a cemetery yesterday afternoon. And just as I suspected, the mother was arrested early this morning, and confessed to being drunk and beating baby Tyler to death because he wouldn't go back to sleep. 

All this happened within a mile radius of my brother and sister in law's home in Affton, MO. It's really disgusting that this has happened, and I think more awareness should be brought to the matter how disturbed people truly are.
