If you had been paying attention, you may have noticed the atmosphere surrounding the home had gone suddenly, eerily quiet. It was if, in unison, all the birds had ceased singing, the wind had gone still, and the ground the home was rooted to had been disconnected from the rest of reality. A heavy feeling hung in the air, bringing a sense of foreboding, Did the sky just get darker? Perhaps a cloud crossed in front of the moon, yes, that most certainly was it. Just then, a loud rapping came from the door- much stronger than any child could have done.

For the most part, he had been staying at Jelly’s home in Waterfall but as he was resting with his cap turned over on his face that the sudden intrusive noise had jostled him from his sleep. Who was that anyway to knock with such force? This didn’t sound like any ordinary trick or treater.
“Alright hang on a sec! Jeez...can’t get a moment’s peace.” His occasional ranting had devolved into incessant mumbling as he approached the door and yanked it open.
He stopped in utter surprise as he stared at the newcomer for a moment. For the most part he hadn’t noticed the ambiance had suddenly...silenced, no sound of rivers or the faraway roar of a waterfall that echoed across the dim and dank caves.
He took one close look to recognize the dressed skeletal person was in fact...Lucida! Feeling somewhat glad to see the familiar face he relaxed, casually leaning on the side of the doorway as he waved to her.
“Luci!? Ay, I’m glad to see you gettin’ in the spirit!”
With that said, he casually grasped the candy he kept on him and placed it in their hands.
“So who’re you supposed to be? I’m er...not familiar with your get up.”
