Williams College Class of 2017

Today, I received by snail mail an early write of admission from Williams College! I am so incredibly happy because the school actually flew me up for its diversity program, Windows on Williams, in October, and I loved my visit.

Now for the part that made me speechless. They selected me as one of 10 Tyng Scholars in the total applicant pool. The Tyng scholarship is awarded to the most outstanding candidates. Tyng Scholars receive financial aid packages without loans, are exempt from holding mandatory campus jobs to pay for tuition, given summer stipends, and…the best part…their financial need for graduate school is covered!!!

So incredibly excited about this opportunity. Williams has offered to pay for my journey up to Williamstown to visit as a distinguished Tyng Scholar.

I have a very difficult choice to make in April, but I’m so thankful for these blessings!
