Brilliant entry by @typebynikita for this week’s alter ego Goodtype Tuesday! ・・・ As a literary hero, Edmond Dantes from The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorites. The version of the novel I have at home is two volumes, nearly 1000 pages each. The historical context in the book serves as an unbreakable foundation for development of all the characters, but none more so than Dantes. He dedicates himself wholly to turning his unjust fate into a life of discovery about human lives, deception, love, and justice…it is quite breathtaking. The tenacity he displays is the tenacity I sometimes wish I had towards solving career or personal issues that we all deal with. Once in a great while, a spark of that tenacity shines through, and that gives me hope! All the speakers and workshop leaders are amazing for this year, so it was a challenge to pick one. However, I couldn’t resist the chance to turn Jon Contino’s last name into an ambigram!
