Generating Sustainability Impacts for ALL

The road to change leads by new thinking and innovation on old models.

The ability to accept that some are invisible to sustainability planning and development is the first step to change.

The opportunity is to deliver sustainability to “ALL”. Sustainability if sustainable is equitable, just, and intentionally reasonable for all its citizens. The goal is sustainability to SUSTAIN and support ABILITY!

As we focus on climate change these impacts affect the poor, underserved, unemployed, persecuted – the invisible just as the non-poor.

There are ways to bridge sustainability to invisible communities for sustainable professionals: I like to share some actions that can address the challenges that lay ahead in making sustainability equitable:

Build programs understanding the biases that exist within the plan and planners.

Challenge teams and groups on inclusive, sustainable applications and programs.

Build inclusive, sustainable teams for varying perspectives.

Understanding the nature of poverty.

Address safe infrastructural continuity between the poor and non-poor.

Train and teach the role of sustainable practices and the impact of sustainability on all communities.

Think Great Planning

Today the work of project platforms and modeling tools support change, innovation and shorten lead times to implementation. The need for smart designs and integrative methods is challenging against older standards and outcomes.

With the focus on efficiency and budgets, technology and teams can produce theoretical reviews to prevent workarounds that lead to applicable solutions. As much as technology is growing by open source systems the same can be said about human capital working within their supply chains and ecosystem to ramp up open design techniques for best-to-better builds.
