would love to hear your thoughts on tzmm pls?? like the kind of dynamic you think they have that makes them work? what things you'd like to explore in fic with them??

i'm still rotating them in my mind, you know? i've been big on trevor since before the draft and mason automatically scratched my brain in the right way when he got drafted. i just knew immediately that there was something interesting there (for me).

idk. i get why people love tzjd. their love for each other is undeniable—but it doesn't do it for me the way it should, you know? it's not for me, and that's just fine.

i like pairings that have claws. grit. mutual annoyance and irritation and beneath all that, respect and admiration. tzmm has that (for me). in a way that tzjd does not.

i like how genuinely carefree, dancing-through-life, and cocky-confident trevor is. i like his perceived arrogance and how fucking american he is. he's loud and charismatic and fun. on the other hand, i like that mason is steady and calm and knows exactly who he is and what he's capable of. i like that he's kind of understated nerdy and self-assured and lowkey quiet. he's a little awkward and weird. he's also a perfect instagram boyfriend. trevor clearly gets on his nerves, but not in a way where mason doesn't like it. he does. he very clearly does. but he gives it back to him, you know?

anyway. they're still cooking for me, but they got all the right ingredients.
