How old is your character? Do they look their age? How do others react to them based on their age? Do they live up to those expectations, or not? Do they wish they were older or younger? Why or why not?
Yuina is 22ish! I have a bad habit of keeping her 22 for like the 2 years that I've had her.. (heh..) But she does look her age! She has a matured body and facial structure, her features are feminine and yet fierce. Based off of looks alone, people assume she is in her early 20s.
Yuina isn't rather secretive of her age, but she doesn't openly tell it either. She has gotten mixed reactions when she does reveal her age, especially being such a high rank in her current clan, the Kaiihi. Many believe she is too young to take the leadership role, and perhaps they are correct.
In the culture she was raised in (Tribal Seeker), Yuina was expected to be a warrior when her coming of age ceremony came. Expectations were simple; survive. But now serving as the Matriarch of the Kaiihi, those expectations have been raised considerably, and she is constantly being compared to her mother, Lyra, who served as the clans High Priestess when she was only 18. Despite this, she has tried hard to put on a stoic, leader attitude upon her face in the public eye. However those who know her closely know that she struggles with these new expectations, and fears that she may not meet them.
Yuina prefers being young, and if it were up to her she would not ever age. She quite likes the current age she is at - quite brilliantly at her peak in strength, wit and beauty. She is satisfied with who she is now, and knows that change is inevitable when she gets older. She doesn't fear death, but she doesn't welcome it either. She wants to accomplish many things, and doesn't want the ticking time of life to halt her from her goals.
