Welcome back to...
"I asked my parents about going back to Dublin for my birthday, and here's whats happening!"
UPDATE!
Boy yeaterday was an exteemely stressful but very exciting day!
While fixing our outside tap, a couple of days ago, my dad finally asked me if there would be a day coming up where I would have time to properly sit down with him and make a potential plan of where we would stay, how we would get to each location I wanted to see, how we would dravel to Dublin, what we were allowed to take, and so on.
Yesterday was that day.
To start off with, we had to look at all the seperate locations on google maps, and make a radius of where, likely best accomedations would be, to happily reach all 3 locations. We decided that traveling there by plane would be best and quickest, and would mean we'd get the most out of our first and last day there! We looked around at hotels, and found a couple that did free taxi trips to and from the airport, to the accomedation which really majorly hwlpped one of our biggest issues which would be, how to get anywhere from the airport without a car. We didnt really want to have to hire a car or book a taxi seperatelybecause that could have been a huge unessisary expense. After that it was just a case of picking which hotel that provided this service, was vest catered to our needs.
Once we had chosen accomedation, we needed to have a look at ways to get around. We both remembered using Leap Cards for the trams in central Dubin so we knew we could get to most places like that. HOWEVER, our accomedation was not in central Dublin by any means, so we then had to work put how we would get from there to central Dublin to get to everything else. After doing a litfle research we found that mkst bus ruits and tram ruits and trains all connected, AND you can use your Leap Cards on each. With the help of train maps and the old TFI app, we were able to figure out and plan routes and transports to each place that was futher than walking distance. This hugely helped our case because a massive problem that I thought would mean we couldn't go, would be the fact that for example Bono's house and the Cemetery his mum and dad are at, are more than an hours walking distance appart.
Now that we knew we could get everywhere it was a case of deciding what days to do what and when. The live TFI app was able to help us figure out roughly how many times a bus trip or train trip or tram trip happens, per day, on the routes we picked, therefore we could estimate with stops for food and such, which days were best to do what activities.
Lastly we looked at quotes for the flights and parking. We'd figured out all the hard stressful parts, so at the end of the day, were we happy to pay the price of getting there? We thought about asking someone to take us so we wouldnt have to pay for the Airport to "look after our car" and my Dad unfortunatwly could not take my birthday, exactly off, so it ended up being a sunday to wednesday. It would mean we were ok to get there bua someone, but the quote made it so we wouldn't be coming back until quite early in the morning, and nobody would probably want to wake upe arly to pick us up and then go straight to work. So we decided that Dad would drive and park at the airport and we would pay for it to stay there for the 4 days.
I have also never been on a plane before, so for my personal safety and wellbeing, I decised that just this once, I would want to sit next to my dad during the flight, and then any other time i fly i should be ok with understanding how it all works.
At the end of it all, the price was not to extacionate so....
WE BOOKED IT ALL THERE AND THEN!
If you wear that velvet dress-
My eldest brother just gave me one of his old leather jackets, and the pattern and design on it is SOOOOOO cool-
Feeling very Larry/Bono right now-

I finally gotten around to posting Chapter 3 of 10 Wordless Ways To Say I Love You.
This ones actually inspired by an interview I watched, aswell as one of my absolute favourite Bono mannerisms.

Welcome to...
"I asked my parents about going back to Dublin for my birthday, and here's whats happening!"
Explanation:
So basically, about a week and a half ago, ish or there abouts, I asked my dad about possibly going back to Ireland for my 21st Birthday.
I feel since having gone with the family, back in August, two weeks was enough to allow me to fall in love with the idea of living there, rather than just liking the country because its in my family. I have always Loved Ireland and Irish people, but in all of my 20 years & 50 days of living I have only been there twice now, and I would like to keeo going as many times as I possibly can, its where i seem to feel the best, in everything!
This time for a special ocassion though, my 21st birthday, on the...... 13th November, the same day as Bono's Dad, Brendan Robert (Bob) Hewson, birthday.
Now of course, I know Bob Hewson has been dead for 24 years or so now, BUT what a coinsidence (or not) it is that on one random day while im in Ireland i decide to look into U2 in a bit more detail, fall in love with their music, fall in love with the members, read bono's memior, do further research, and find out that myself and the father who Bono had such a complicated relationship with and only very little time to mend, share the same birthday.
So I wanted to do something special.
If there was ever a time to go around Dublin to all the places, U2 related, why not make it that time. I asked my dad, and told him that I wanted to visit Bono's Childhood home (his parents house) and the cemetery where Iris and Bob are buried. Take some flowers or something nice like that. That was my only criteria. If there was time to maybe see Mount Temple, cool, if we could go to central Dublin and go to all the U2 themed places, Amazing! But 10 Cederwood Road, and Old BalGriffin Cemetry were the priority.
So where are we at?
Chapter 2 of 10 Wordless Ways To Say I Love You-
Im feeling brave. I would say this chapter is a bit longer than the last, but its hard to say, the app I use to initially write each chapter, counts the characters instead of the words, so it feels long, and then I put it into Ao3 and is about average.
Anyways,

I felt inspired by @likeamadonnau2 to have a go at posting some of my own ficlets.
They are only small, but together they make something quite simple and sweet. I thought I could post the first chapter and then see what people think, and if I get even just one positive bit of feedback, ill continue to post the already written chapters, and continue developing and writting the ones that still need to be done!
I thought it might be fun to share!
Hope you all enjoy! -🐏
