I’m okay with the designs, but I will admit that I’m a little disappointed that they’re just more legendary dogs. But might I ask why you’re comparing them to Lycanroc when there’s the legendary dog trio from Johto? I will wait until the version exclusives are announced before picking one.
i didn’t compare them to the legendary beasts because… the legendary beasts are kind of better than them? their designs are unique among the three of them, being decently simple while the color pallets and general details get their differences in type and demeanor across.
as for why im comparing them to lycanroc:
they have the same build/body structure as lycanroc whateverday form this is. they just look like dolled up lycanroc. zamazenta is supposed to be a shield, and it doesn’t even feel different from the sword holding zacian, except for in colors and clutter.
they’re obviously just noble wolves, and even then… why wolves? why not animate weapons like the honedge line, or like, the spirits of ancient warriors or something? why wolves? it just feels like they wanted to do more with lycanroc but didn’t know what, so they just gave it a sword and a ‘shield’ and told it to run wild. i don’t know enough about arthurian myth to know if these are related and if they are… i dont know if that makes it worse or better.
sorry to rant on your ask but… these designs just feel so uninspired.
