Itachi had been busy most of the day picking up a few things in town and when he returned home with the items he had bought, he placed everything in their rightful place then decided that he would wash a few dirty dishes then take out something for his and Sasuke's dinner, because he knew that the younger Uchiha was due back sometime in the afternoon or evening, but as the older Uchiha was just finishing up putting the now clean dishes away, he spotted Sasuke was now walking up to the front door, at first Itachi only released a light smile, because he was glad that the younger Uchiha came home safe and sound, but when his eyes spotted that Sasuke seemed to be covered in blood, the smile faded and he dropped the small cup that was in his hand then went quickly outside.

Upon his arrival at the front door, Itachi stepped outside, unable to hide the worry in his voice as he asked who blood was all over his body, but when the older Uchiha took a closer look it seemed that most of the blood belonged to his younger brother, all he heard next was Sasuke saying his name before he started falling to the ground.

Without hesitation, he moved in a quick speed to catch the younger Uchiha before he hit the ground, but unfortunately Itachi was not quick enough to stop Sasuke's fall and his eyes witnessed his beloved younger brother fall to the ground, while hearing him say his name as he scopped Sasuke up in his arms."Sasuke...please try not to talk." he said softly. Quickly deciding it would be best to take him to the hospital.

It has been five hours since Itachi and Sasuke had last talked to one another since they’ve returned home from a small shopping trip that didn’t go to well,some store owner had spoken a couple of unfriendly words to the older Uchiha,refusing to sell some ninja tools to him.Itachi tried not to sound or act bothered by the owners words and his eyes slowly drifted to notice that Sasuke had approached a second too soon hearing the other’s words.The older Uchiha could feel the change of Sasuke’s chalkra and noticed the younger Uchiha had his sharingan now activated.“Sasuke?“he asked slowly hoping his younger brother wouldn’t get into a fight with the man but his hopes were crushed when he felt himself being pushed to the side and Sasuke grabing the man by the collar of the shirt,the older Uchiha looked with shock seeing the younger Uchiha smash the store owner’s head against the counter.When the man looked up at Sasuke with anger and hatred in his eyes his nose was bleeding and dripping on the counter,but before his younger brother was able to injure the man even further Itachi grabbed Sasuke by the wrist using almost all his strength to pull the younger Uchiha away from the counter."Sasuke…"he said with his eyebrows lowering watching as the other costumors in the store looked with fright and anger as they made their way out of the store.The older Uchiha’s ears picked up on one women asking why the Hokage allows them to walk freely and why they haven’t been thrown in prison with a couple others shrugging their shoulders while some more agreed with her.

After ten minutes the two brother’s returned to their house and Itachi removed his shoes off his feet before walking further into the house so he could head to the kitchen to make himself a cup of tea to calm himself down a little.{Five hour time skip}After a few hours had passed Itachi was able to calm down and wasn’t able to stay mad at Sasuke any longer he got up from the porch to go back inside where he expected his younger brother to be sitting in the livingroom.The older Uchiha closed the door lightly and entered the livingroom spotting Sasuke sitting in silence."Sasuke…can we talk for a moment?"he asked in a quiet voice while sitting on the other end of the couch now waiting for the other to respond to his question.

"You've been awfully quiet today."

Itachi looked up from the plate of food that had hardly been touched when he heard Sasuke say that he had been awfully quiet today.”I…have?”he asked trying to sound suprised by his younger brother’s words.The older Uchiha was a little impressed that Sasuke was able to pick up on it since he was normally always quiet especially at the dinner table.After a moment of complete silence between the two waiting for his younger brother to comment on his reaction he picked up his fork again in order to try and force himself to try and eat a little bit of his meal just so Sasuke wouldn’t continue on worrying about him and ask anymore questions about why he has been so silent for most of the day.

Or perhaps it would be best to tell the younger Uchiha about the confrontation he had with Kisame the other day while he was walking through the forest and just happen to run into him unexpectedly,Itachi didn’t think it was much of a problem because his formor comrade said he wouldn’t tell anyone in the akatsuki that he saw him…but he guessed if he told Sasuke what had happened the younger Uchiha might over react and worry about other members of the Akatsuki learning that he is still alive.
