Since you said Sansa is your fav character, what are your thoughts about her character development? :)

Love it in the books. It’s slow, but steady, and though I wish there were things that GRRM would go ahead and pull the trigger on, I’m overall very happy with her. Unlike most people, I don’t need (or particularly want) Sansa to become some master player of the game. I don’t care if she’s still a little frivolous and naive, because Sansa, at heart, wants a very simple life. Now, in ASOIAF nobody gets what they want, and I am perfectly willing to see her development into a cold chessmaster, but I doubt that will ever truly happen. Sansa is not built to be cold, IMO. 

Show Sansa, otoh, is completely built to be cold because she’s been broken and rebuilt herself so many times there is no other choice. Show Sansa in my opinion is a completely different character, one that I also enjoy as she shares many base characteristics with my beloved book Sansa. I find her development to be more uneven and often wasted at the expense of male characters, and she does not have a clear throughline from where she was at the end of season 1 to where she is now, but the character has somehow remained solid? I like that she makes mistakes, and that she makes them A LOT (and isn’t instantly rewarded for them like some other characters). She’s more aware than book Sansa, and that has been brought about organically. Show Sansa is to me a collection of almost negative traits tempered by sweetness that have somehow formed a character that I still enjoy. 

At the end of the day, to me Sansa, either, is a girl who wants to be loved, and she wants to be loved the most by at least one person, and that’s what calls to me. And I think GRRM did such a great job of taking a common, simple wish and showing the perversion of it through her, how it can twist a person and even twist the people around them, how it can be used. I don’t really think D&D really GET Sansa, but I do think they understand at least that aspect.

They are friends in the comics, Tony was even part of the Guardians.... So I have no idea why they would hate Tony :/

This is not one of the questions but, why did you choose Saudade as the title of the fic?

Saudade is a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. It’s known as ‘missingness’ or the ‘love that remains.’ Often it comes with the knowledge that that person isn’t coming back. For me, it fit not only how Steve felt about Tony, but how he felt about most things in his life, and how he had to cope with that sort of loss.

15, 18 and 19!

15. five most influential books over your lifetime.

I don’t...read enough oh my god....harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban highkey inspired me to try writing and also drawing a bit and was a good time for baby kay...the alchemist was a good read for angsty middle schooler kay...i’ve had a collection of grimm fairytales that’s moved with me every time i’ve moved to a new place...I think i liked the golden compass? I literally cannot remember enjoying a book in the past 3-4 years oh my god. 

I had to read motorcycles and sweetgrass in my last year of high school, and i got to write a critique of it as my very last assignment/exam thing as a hs student, and i think my entire experience with that book kind of kickstarted my ability to be critical of the media i consume? 

actually, I had to read jonathan strange and mr norrell for a lit class last year,,,and I read it when i was having a really bad time in a shitty apartment and there was like a 3 day long thunderstorm happening and the power was out and we had all the windows open and the basement was flooding & we were on the ground floor and everything was really damp and kind of cold and it was really windy and i drank stew out of a mug and read this cool cool magic book by candlelight and it was a really great time that like. lowkey carried me through that month

Irreparable - 9 and 15

9: Were there any alternate versions of this fic?

Irreparable was originally six chapters long! It had very little in the way of actual plot and was strictly focused on Tony’s character development. Steve’s POV was never going to be explored.

15: What did you learn from writing this fic?

I’ve learned a lot about the characters that I don’t think I knew before. Like I’ve mentioned before, I used to think getting inside Steve’s head was impossible but now I feel I understand him at least a little better. I’ve learned about my own limitations as a writer. I’m not too great at fight scenes, but I am pretty good with dialogue heavy scenes. I’ve also learned that I would be a crappy superhero. It seems like a lot of work :).
