“Yes you are. Now shut up and enjoy the best seat in the building.” He said keeping one arm around Joey’s waist as he continued to work at his office desk.

He was never one for checking the weather beforehand. Usually the maid or one of the guards would inform him if it was just going to get hotter or colder, if it was possibly going to rain. But this time Mokuba had left fairly early from the Kaiba Corporation building. It had been pretty common for him to just spend the night there as of late. So when he left it was assumed he was heading home to freshen up, maybe actually eat some food that wasn’t take out.
It wasn’t intentional not to let anyone know where he was going. Nor had it been his plan to allow his phone battery to drain so quickly.
His body was pressed up against a light pole to keep him from being knocked around by the wind so much. It was almost like the storm had come out of no where. He tried waiting out the rain in a nearby shop but when it had become rather apparent it wouldn’t be letting up anytime soon Mokuba had ventured out into the storm.
By the time he heard the voice calling out his name his body had been soaked to the bone. He hadn’t even recognized who the voice belonged to until Jonouchi was almost in front of him due to the heavy wind and rain. What the heck was he doing here?
“I should be asking you the same question!”
Without much thought he reached out to grab the other’s arm when another gust of wind beat against his body.

He had to be joking right? How was it even possible for a mage and Hunter to be soulmates in the first place? He frowned and prodded at the mark a few more times. Perhaps there was a way to get rid of it? Somehow? “...Like I care if I live or die. Death is better than being tied to you for the rest of my life”

It was a little unnerving to be seeing joey of all people looking in this way. Joey was usually the one that was full of energy, trying to cheer up those around him whenever they may have been having a difficult day. But now? Now Atem wasn’t sure what to think but he walked in when offered, glancing around the dark apartment and resisting the temptation to heavily sigh. Why was his friend trying to hard to detach himself from the world? “You know, you can tell me anything” he finally decided to say as he turned to look back at the blonde, noticing the dark eyes, the lack of sleep he must be having. Was that how he looked to others on those nights were the nightmares just refused to go away? “...It isn’t good for you to remain within this darkness”. He didn’t belong in the darkness. Joey shouldn’t be hurting so badly to be needing to hide here. “What’s going on?”
@uchimitsu Joey froze when he felt the gun against him. His eyes widening as he stared up at the other male who held the gun. What was going on? What was he suppose to do? He wouldn’t actually shoot him, would he? His body froze and at first he was suddenly at the loss of words. The cold metal against his skin made him want to jerk away but if he did, what if he was shot?
He pressed his lips firmly together and drew in a deep breath from his nose. His hands felt clammy and his heart was racing despite him trying to not look so frightened.
“What do you think you’re doing? And I ain’t your damn sweetheart!”
“O h, you’re not? Because I was under the impression that you are whatever I tell you to be.” Seto wore a sadistic smirk on his features, only digging the barrel of the gun harder against Jou’s temple. His harsh blue gaze examined him closely, hardly even looking away to blink.
“WHAT am I d o i n g? Why...finally putting you in your place of course, Joseph...”
Perfection
@uchimitsu (continued from here)
Seto has always felt the need to push him to be the best, to never make a mistake and to always be the strongest to defend what he held dear. That there was no choice, either be perfect or fail, there was no in-between for Seto Kaiba. So hearing Joey’s words left the brunette taken aback by what was said to him. It was also the nicest thing anyone has every said to him just for the sake of being nice.
The other duelist was right also on the point of him working too hard lately. The CEO was doing so many things that his employees could easily finish on their own. But the perfectionist that he was over saw everything and wanted to do it himself.
“I have been overworking myself, I suppose I could take a few days off...” He said and crossed his arms. “Did you really mean that? About you liking how I am or you just stroking my ego so you’ll get something?”
@uchimitsu
“I didn’t think they let dogs inside this store. Here to try and fix that worthless deck of yours?”
@uchimitsu continued from (x) The fear was pretty obvious to see within the other males stance. The way in which his hands were shaking as he pointed a knife towards him. A foolish action for if a guard were to find them at the moment then it was almost guaranteed that this stranger was going to lose his head for threatening the heir to the throne. “Put that away” he hissed out, pausing to glance around the room as he heard hurried footsteps. Of course this room that contained such precious trinkets would be laced with silent alarms. “You need to trust me” Atem whispered softly, walking slightly closer, “Someone is coming... I don’t know as to why your here...but I can see that it is against your will....for now hide. I shall ask for the full story once I get rid of this approaching guard”. He gave a small smile in a weak attempt of trying to calm him down. It was pretty obvious just how bad of a situation the would be thief was in at the moment. Hopefully he would be sensible and follow his orders. With a deep breath, Atem walked back out towards the center of the room, looking through one of the chests as his uncle appeared at the doorway. “Prince Atem? What are you doing within these chambers so late at night?” he spoke with a tone that allowed his displeasure of being polite towards the other to be known, though Atem easily brushed it off. “I was attempting to recover something for my Father. I do apologize about setting off the alarms. I shall make sure to activate them once more when I leave” he smiled, standing back up and brushing dust off from his knees, “Do not worry uncle. I am perfectly safe” “...just hurry back to your rooms” the older man sighed before turning and walking off, muttering under his breath as Atem, much like the childish self he could be, stuck out his tongue at the retreating back. “Okays - you should be safe now” he called out once a few more moments had gone by, “But that depends on what your story is too”
