Been in an art block lately so I just did a redraw of Honto Yajuu chapter page
as a gay, If or when we get gay rep in YJ, I want it to be subtle and not so focused on. because, and I can’t stress this enough, YJ IS NOT A ROMANCE GENRE. IT IS SUPERHEROES.
As a COMIC nerd gay, I REALLY want them to just focus on the superheroing and the action. Add romance where it’s needed, but really just let me enjoy my crime fighting superheroes.
Now, if you enjoy gay relationships as a focus plot I really recommend Honto Yajuu (the manga).
It’s super cute and one of the healthiest gay relationships I’ve seen in Japanese manga.
It follows a cop and the son of a Yakuza head who fall in love and (other than having to hide it from their coworkers/underlings) they’re open about their relationship.
The cop, Tomoharu, even openly and casually admits it to his neighbors and friends. (Aki has no problems admitting it either, except he doesn’t actually have that many friends lmao)
Also on a side note, the yakuza Aki has like ZERO fashion sense.
Anyways, I’m all for gay rep but i would also like YJ to be focused on the plot, the action, and the superheroing.

#HontoYajuu: New chapter has been released today. If you want to know how Tomoharu and Aki as parents and lovely couple you must read the new chapter. As always, it's adorable, funny and full of rainbow vibes. I really can imagine that they'll be good parents someday. It also gives us hopes that they might get married and have kids. (ctto)
When you realize one of your fav characters is Ace...
and you never knew. Ueda Tomoharu from Honto Yajuu is ACE! I just realized that Tomoharu is ace, or more spacific, I think he is demi sexual. The way it is described what he feels for other potential partners before Aki... That is DEMI! Ueda Tomoharu is DEMI SEXUAL - pretty sure I am late for the party (-__-) Sorry!
