kindness is a foreign thing to michael. before coming into the realm, he was not treated like much of a person during his time at smith's grove. dr. loomis treated him like a monster, like some sort of creature ever since he was six. michael does not grieve over it or even think about it at all, but when eddie treats him like this, he realizes just how inexperienced he is with any and all sort of affection. even with his mask, he can feel the warmth of the larger man's hand against his cheek. the paleness of his mask is stained with blood from the survivor he just gutted, and though he doesn't think it's necessary to wipe it off, he doesn't stop eddie. not at all.

the shape cannot help himself from tilting his face into the touch. he has grown a soft spot for eddie and eddie alone.
