god is an elementary school kid and the way to bring your favourite characters back is to play and draw. god is a kid who seems to live all alone and isolated from everyone else outside of school and online (watching bfdi). god can be seen as a unique commentary on the type of person who tends to cling to shows like bfdi the most. who the show might speak to the most. fries' entire lifestyle revolves around "just doing what i want." fries Notably only ever hangs out and is friends with people who are outcasted and alienated from everyone else. he is literally in god's house playing video games with him. physically separate from the range of the competition of bfdi in this uniquely isolated area instead. fries is likely to be one of the important characters in idfb (the non-competition season). evil leafy is uniquely ostracized and abused for being seen as "foreign." fries is one of the very few people who likes her and they even hang out for a little while quietly. potential set-up for idfb and fries trapping el in yoyle city. this then leads to parallels between four and one. one growing up in utter isolation to "teach her a lesson" without meaningful acknowledgment of her stance on it or meaningful attempts to actually try helping her. reminds me of child neglect. one becoming incredibly angry and spiraling into a revenge fantasy. one continuing the cycle. the way to really kill your favourite characters is to remove them from the story all-together. you can no longer play and draw them. four becoming obsessed with bfdi in his own form of isolation and because he never really learned how to interact with others properly often ends up harming them intentionally or otherwise (not understanding that even if they can't die normally they can still be Hurt). four doesn't even need to play and draw to recover people and can just will them back into being. four is canonically autistic. all algebraliens can do this if they practice enough. (thinking about them enough. one didn't think about three enough? four thinks about the objects constantly and him recovering objects is natural to him.) four perpetuates the cycle of harm and faces consequences for it on multiple occasions. often circling back to him being isolated all over again somehow. evil leafy again. evil leafy and four have similar traits (eyeballs. rich inner worlds/dimensions. offputting nature. being some of the first few people the objects meet and deem uniquely Foreign.) but ultimately have different reasons for their actions despite facing similar consequences (justified or not). the objects don't tend to care about these differences unless Major Developments happen and treat them the same at default. fries again often being friends with people who are alienated and ostracized, and often deviates from the wishes and expectations of everyone else. fries being friends with god. fries' outlook being "playing and drawing" when playing and drawing can literally save people from death. now all he needs to do is find someone to share that with. someone to believe in and someone to have a connection with. reminds me of a kid moving to a new school or new place. fries finally being able to leave yoyle city. god being an elementary school kid. the thought cycle begins again. (imagine my mind basically being me rereading this post over and over again forever.)
anyways i'm very normal about bfdi themes of isolation and loneliness and how they often manifest in people who grow up learning to use online fandoms as a method of coping with their own neglect (and by extension how bfdi fans have as well). i'm very normal about the commentary on how many kids in the 2000s to 2010s grew up. i'm very normal about object shows. couldn't you tell?
