There will always be people happy to rip someone apart.

I honestly believe it’s a family’s job to make sure every family member feels safe and welcome, even if it means lying about trivial things. When my niece shows me her art, I’ll never say her anatomy is screwed up; when my cousin cuts her hair in an unflattering way I’ll tell her she did a great job because she seems super excited about her new style.

A person should be able to come home and feel safe and be able to share things they are passionate about.

That’s all I’m asking.
