When you’re writing a crossover fanfic between 2012 TMNT and 2003 TMNT and you need a library of references for stuff the 2003 boys have done over the seasons and then you realize it might be forever so you just start laying down solid outlines and firm storylines and then the story’s all like NO! MORE RANDOM DISCUSSIONS ABOUT WHY SHIT HAPPENED! And all you can do is shrug and then imagine a really weird sideplot about the two Leatherheads meeting and suddenly the image of a really massive alligator in a lab coat holding a tiny centrifuge becomes really funny...
