Taehyun isn’t even bothered to look up from his laptop and drawing tablet has his friend dramatically announces his entrance into his room. Joohyuk had been the one who’d told him about and successfully convinced him moving into Umbrella instead of living like a nomad from friend to friend’s house. He’d been disappointed however when Taehyun wasn’t assigned to the same room as him and had taken the liberty to come into Taehyun’s room from time to time, which was perfectly fine with him since he’d had no roommate as of yet. And even though he’d only been living in Umbrella for a short time, maybe it’s because of their time spent together when young and how well they understood each other, so he’s not even phased anymore when Joohyuk suddenly bursts through his door.
“Sweep leaves? Hyuk, aren’t you working at UNIQLO. Do they even have a garden? Why do you need to sweep leaves? Or are you working another job that you didn’t mention about?”
He was overjoyed when Tae told him about the move. The first thing he did was join him in the double room, quickly taking over the other bed before a roommate soon moved in. He rarely needed time to himself, but the time with his best friend was the closet to that. He was simply comfortable in the other’s presence.
Upon entering the room, Joohyuk collapsed on the spare bed, absentmindedly rolling about as he listened to Tae’s questions. He sat up briefly, long enough for him to reply, “I wouldn’t call it a garden...far from that actually. But our manager said it was good to ‘plant’ ‘natural’ trees” he lifted two fingers, gesturing quotations around the words plant and natural, “in front of the building during the fall. Its stupid I know.”
He falls back on the bed, this time rolling over face first into the pillow, “I don’t wanna go tomorrow!” his words are muffled by the pillow but followed with a sigh before he once again rolls over. “Should I get another job? I thought about working at a bakery for discount rent, but eh- I wonder if they have any fall specials.”
