Adoption.
I love taking care of kids. To the point of where it’s my career. I have been in the childcare industry for 4 years now and in recent weeks I have been oh so interested in adopting a child. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something incredibly heart-tugging knowing that an infant does not have a home or somebody to call mummy.
I won’t name names, but I have met a little girl just shy of being 2 years old. Her parents don’t want her and her grandparents are unable to keep her for health reasons. This was part of my adoption decision, but I have always said it’s a path I want to walk down. The first time I realised this I was the tender age of 6, I was crossing the road and I very clearly and outspokenly announced “I want to adopt a little chinese baby girl when I’m older” I have always been a girl who knows what she wants, and I’m happy to say that at the age of 24 I am taking the steps to be put into the system.
