Stuck in my head again. Save me.
I wish it was safe or ethical to share videos of your kids, because youngest is dressing as a Spider Queen for Halloween. Not in a cutesy princess sort of way. But as in eight legs, multiple eyes and fangs face paint, and she’s been practicing how to get maximum creepy effect of the legs by running in a weird shuffling crouch at people.
She has her best friends who will serve by her side, apparently anyone else she will attack and eat. Bad luck to everyone at the school disco I guess!
Now it’s the start (in England) of the new school year I once again find myself noticing that not a single male has ever volunteered to help the PTA. A couple have been strong armed into specific tasks for particular events by their partners, but that’s all.
I can find out about most of the schools in this area through my friends and what do you know? They’ve never had a single male PTA volunteer either!
And don’t give me that sexist crap about cliques and competitive mums. It’s hard work and thankless, and we’ve been on our knees begging for more volunteers. We’re struggling for support from parents at all really but it is noticeable that only one half ever engages.
