German Chancellor Angela Merkel says Britain should make a quick exit from the EU. Linda Wertheimer talks to German Ambassador Peter Wittig about how "Brexit" could impact the EU and Merkel's future.

Ambassador Wittig spoke with Linda Wertheimer  of @npr‘s Morning Edition on the UK referendum. “The European Union should be a union for the citizens and not for the bureaucrats,” he said, adding that the referendum was a wake up call for Europe.
