Missing Smackdown Live and UK Tournament
This week got far more busy than I was expecting it to, and the Smackdown recap ran away from me. Dealing with anxiety on top of this means I’ll forego the Smackdown Live recap this week, and start it back up next week if possible along with RAW. I’m also working on the formats for the recaps, the full recap I posted for RAW might take too much time to be able to do consistently, so I’m in the process of rethinking how I do these and will try a few styles over the coming weeks. Lastly, the UK Tournament starts today. I’m definitely going to watch it, but I probably will not do a full recap, rather a small review of the thing as a whole with high spots pointed out. Check back tomorrow to see what becomes of that.
Wrestling thoughts for today
So today I was walking into work when I got on Facebook and saw the news of the United Kingdom tournament for WWE. At first, I was sort of hesitant about it from just seeing the link to the story because I thought it was basically going to be a tournament to showcase Zach Sabre Jr as a way to sign him. Then I clicked on the link and what I saw, made me excited. First of all, there isn’t one wrestler that has been announced for the tournament that is super popular and is a favorite to win. Honestly, I have not heard of any of the guys, and i’m always excited to get to watch new wrestlers and expand my wrestling brain. So im excited for that. Second of all, I like the design of the UK title. It gives it an old rustic feel mixed with a britain-like design with the WWE style that is recognizable. BUUUTTTT…the most exciting thing about it is having Finn and one of my favorite grapplers of all time William Regal commentate/host with NIGEL FUCKIN’ MCGUINESS! I couldn’t believe it because literally yesterday or the day before (I can’t remember) he stepped down as ROH matchmaker. Honestly I wish he would have gotten to wrestle for WWE but this is almost as good! Sorry for the rant, just had to get it out. Im excited lol
