This weekend marks the one year anniversary of the London Olympics, and to celebrate the BBC and Channel 4 bring a weekend of athletics from Olympic park . This weekend on the BBC channels Gabby Logan presents coverage of the opening evening the Olympic park on Friday which will see the 100m, 200m and 400m races. Action then continues on Saturday when we see Mo Farah back in action in the 3,000 m discipline.
On channel 4 on Sunday Clare Balding and Ade Adepitan present coverage of the International Paralympic Committee International Challenge. Which will see all our favourite athletes from last year’s para-games shine one more time in this amazing park.

A brand new drama hits channel 4 this weekend. Written by John Frays the story is based on the history of the Quarry Bank Mill in Chelshire. Set in the 19th Century the 4 episodes follow the lives of children as young as 9 who work 12 hour shifts in the factory – also known as white slaves.

I’m not going to lie, we rather enjoy this crime comedy in the UK Proxy Server office. Monday night sees the beginning of season 10 which opens with a two part story – The Rock. This starts off with Brain (one of the main characters) be suspended after assaulting a high-ranked officer in the met. However, the story continues when an Argentinian pistol is found and is linked with a murder which happened 16 years ago.
It does sounds a rather intense series but it is an easy to watch series and in this episode there is a guest star – Vincent Regen from the film 300!

Celebrity Masterchef is back! Watch 16 famous faces from the world sport, music, TV and show business take to the kitchen to show there culinary skills. The first stages start in groups of 4 and this week we see Janet Street-Porter, Heidi Range, Katy Brand and Jo Wood put on the famous white aprons.
This week’s challenge is the mystery box – This simply means the celebs are presented with a range of ingredients and simply told to cook something.
