Hacktivists and ANS UL40
My dream is there is some hacker person or group out there, while yes jailbreaking the new iphone is all nice and good, but would use those skills to help the less fortunate and root the ANS UL40 phone.
For those who might not know, the ANS UL40 phone is the “free government phone” phone given out to those without the means to own or pay for their own cell phone. Its a bloatware, adware, malware rats nest of an android phone. Prone to overheating, and a quick dying battery. Most of the problems I believe could be solved if a clean version of Android or Android Go could be installed.
My firsthand experiences with the phone, I believe some kind of adware is running in the background at all times, generating clicks for whomever is subsidizing phone so they can generate ad-revenue so that’s how they can get their money back from making the phone “free”
The less fortunate shouldn’t be unwillingly converted to a click farm for some corporation. If a Hacktivist group out there could make a tool or a simple enough tutorial, or point me in the direction of one would be fantastic. I know others have run into this same problem.
