"We actually held an arrow on the weight of our bodies, and the arrow is pointed right into my heart. We had two small microphones near our hearts, so we could hear our heartbeats. As our performance was progressing, heartbeats were becoming more and more intense, and though it lasted just four minutes and ten seconds, I’m telling you, for me it was forever. It was a performance about the complete and total trust."

my roman empire is when marina abramovic was doing her expo in new york called “the artist is present” that consisted of her sitting with a person for as long as they wanted to, with the conditions that her and the participant should be kept quiet and looking into each others eyes, and her ex-partner (in life AND in art) of 20 years ulay surprised her and participated in the exposition (THE FIST NIGTH OF IT TOO!). that was THE ONLY TIME, i repeat THE ONLY DAMNED TIME SHE EVER BROKE CHARACTER! but instead of screaming or talking to him she just reached over and grabbed his hands AND THE WAY YOU CAN SEE THE EMOTIONS IN THEIR EYES IM JUST ARGHJAHAFUAGAG THEY DIDNT SHARE ONE WORD BUT THEY HAD A WHOLE ENTIRE CONVERSATION I SWEAR
