🧠 Key Insight In this hospital-based case–control study, patients with ulnar neuropathy had significantly larger ulnar nerve cross-sectional areas (CSA) measured by high-resolution ultrasound at multiple sites around the elbow and forearm compared to healthy controls. The authors provide normative CSA values for the local Eastern India population and suggest that ultrasound nerve CSA measurement — along with swelling and flattening ratios — can be a useful, non-invasive diagnostic tool to support clinical and electrodiagnostic findings in ulnar entrapment neuropathy
