Throwback Thursday to our "Girls Only" competition last fall!

Our Martian-ettes had the opportunity to compete in a Girls-Only competition, only girls were allowed to touch and drive the robot.

Area Girl Scout troops visited and watched our Martian-ettes compete with other robotics teams, showing them what FIRST and STEM is all about.

Way to go, ladies!

Tour Farewell

And so with the end of BE my 2013 Ultimate Ascent Tour has come to an end. It was the best FIRST game so far surpassing last year's game Rebound Rumble. In fact FIRST is on quite a roll, not having a bad game since 2009's Lunacy.

Which basically means FIRST is due to lay an egg. I am looking at January 4th 2014 with a mix of anticipation and trepidation.

So Baltimore was fun. A little disappointed we didn't make it to the final matches, but proud that we did much better than we did in Richmond. Plus, it was nice finally seeing Baltimore up and close (although there are some things I wish I hadn't seen).
