word/thoughts vomit: thinking about an alternate universe lime POV comic where him and mochi didnt become friends and instead stayed disliking each other, but mochi still becomes a witch and lime is still a black canvas so shenanigans ensue.
in school he just has to sit and watch and be irritated while this obviously strange girl just gives side quests to his classmates, brings a whole cat to school and talks to it, makes up random and nonsensical excuses to get out of class, and everyone around him just GOES with it. Doesnt question or say anything. He's always thinking "Am I seriously the only person seeing this shit?!!" while she collects jars of severed rat tails, or raises her hand and says "Teacher, my cat has swimming lessons in 5 minutes, can I be excused?" and the teacher goes "Okay."
Any time he confronts her about it, people get on his case for bullying this random "unassuming" (in their eyes) girl. She'd be storing jars of odd supplies in her locker and he comes up and pulls her hair back, saying "Hey you fucking weirdo, can you stop being insane for one second? How the hell do you get away with this shit? I'm gonna report you." Their classmates, in shock because of this out-of-left-field behavior, go "Lime why are you picking on her?!" and whispering "I didn't think he was that type..." Eventually he COULDN'T confront her publically or risk losing reputation. Her responses are always along the lines of "I'm not sure what you're talking about. Are you feeling okay?" with that stupidly gentle demeanor, which just pisses him off more. "I don't know how the hell you get away with all his bullshit, it may get past everyone else but it doesn't get past me."
Sometimes it goes so far that he'd purposely walk home or stay late at school just so he doesn't have to take the same bus/train home as her. Even when he does get home, he avoids all contact with the girl across the street (unless it's to say some mean comment like "What, not recyling the used gum off the bottom of the dumpster today?")
And from Mochis POV, constantly on edge all the time. Trying to live her normal witch life, and of course the person who dislikes her the most happens to have high magic resistance. It's delicate work trying to farm potion ingredients from side quests while also gaslighting this ONE GUY in her school into thinking hes going insane. "Just my luck." she thinks. Of course she couldn't have a school filled with normies. Of course this one fucking guy who happens to be closeby all the time is like an inch away from being sucked into the magic community. "Maybe I should just teleport him into the ocean...eventually he'll just be another missing persons case..." she mumbles while Pom goes "No, that's evil. What's wrong with you? Also you probably can't teleport him (too much magic res)."
But of course the combination of young-witch-trying-to-find-her-footing and black-canvas-always-closeby eventually leads to him finding out about her. Pom's advice becomes "Well he already knows, so he'll have to join your guild so he doesn't run his mouth." (The logic is that he can't report her to the government officials, because if he's in the guild hes "guilty" too). How they manage to convince him could range anywhere from "I'm a witch, I can magic up anything and everything you want all the time," to "Sorry, I had to knock you out and initiate you into the guild while you were unconcious. Now you're in the trenches with me."
Que many episodes of them butting heads, harassing each other, snarky comments from Lime and Mochi just summoning a rain cloud to sit over him specifically, all while being forced to work together on random side missions and adventures (and of course, fall in love hehehehe)
