About Russian music press
Back in the day, in 2008...
The crazy (in a good way) people from the Ultimate Kylie forum were making speculations about her upcoming tour.
The dialogue went in some pretty interesting directions, as usual. Fans were making assumptions that Kylie would start the gig jumping from the boombox to "Speakerphone". Then, she would rock it all out, wearing her red terry socks. At a certain point, she would take the socks off and throw them in the crowd. The crowd was supposed to do the same, when Kylie would sing the "drop your socks" line from the song.
As you can see, Kylie's fans have quite an interesting sense of humour. Really, it wasn't even one of the funniest conversations they had on this forum. But it really stands aside, because it became the basis for the article in "Billboard Russia".
You see, the writers from this magazine took the joke-filled conversation from a fan forum, and then published it as a set of confirmed facts.
Now that's what I call music journalism.
Oh, and some additional information. The fans were right about "Speakerphone" being the first song on the set list. Though, Kylie evidently decided against the socks. What a shame...
