Creeping slowly through the tunnel, Billy paused and leaned against the wall. Letting out a deep sigh he lifted his left foot, getting to work scraping the gore off his shoe with his hammer. Stepping down he gazed down the old underpass for biters before turning around to search in his back pack for water. It was moments like this when he wished he had grabbed some coffee or tea from his last hide out as he felt the combination of dehydration and sleep deprivation blur his vision around the edges. He was about to take a sip out of his water bottle when he heard the rustle of rocks in the dark. Darting out towards the sunlight of the forest he hid behind the side wall of the tunnel and raised his hammer.
