Ishimaru was watching around him as well and was standing on the opposite side of the room, wringing his hands before adjusting the white birdlike mask on his face. To anyone watching he was merely a guest that was keeping to himself but what he was there for was entirely different. Due to how many people tended not to pay him any mind he was able to blend into the crowd seamlessly and covertly watch the activity around him.

There had been rumors of a spy attending the party and he was there to ensure that they didn’t attempt anything. Though... It was the first time he’d been assigned without a partner so he was doing his best to focus on the task at hand despite how anxious he was on the inside. Even if he was more suited to reconnaissance. He couldn’t let himself fail here...

“So you got cast for the 53rd season huh? Congrats, guess that means we’ll be working together from now on.”  Kuma sipped on some hot chocolate, this girl had been working for the team for a few years now...but now she actually got to be on the show. He just provided his voice for the mascot, so his involvement would largely be sitting in a studio while those kids went in and did all the work.  “You excited? Nervous? I don’t think I could seriously get in front of the camera. I’d probably start freaking out and fucking flip off the audience or something...”

Hanako smiled kindly at the sweet girl. “Yes that’s me. I’m surprised you’ve heard of me. I’m glad to hear you’re doing well.”

“Good morning, It’s Shirogane Tsumugi, correct? Was there something you needed to see me about?”

Faking his death had been so incredibly easy. Using fake blood and a poison that slows his pulse to the point where it couldn’t be detected, everyone, even the detective, assumed he was dead. It was so simple to reverse too with the antidote for the poison. Which is what Monokuma gave him once everyone had left for the trial grounds.

From the hidden room in the library, Rantaro sat and watched each trial. Kaede had ended up taking the fall for his trial, that’s fine. Then Kirumi killed Ryoma, Korekiyo killed Angie and Tenko, and Gonta killed Miu. Then Kokichi started pretending to be the mastermind. Something that he didn’t expect. That was interesting, but it wouldn’t do. He knew what the supreme leader was trying to do. Especially when the students started falling into despair.

Are they really stopping the killing due to a few lies? How bothersome. Rantaro checked his monopad, and quickly located each remaining student before heading out of his hiding spot. He needed to stop Kokichi so the killing will continue. Or at least kill someone else himself so the killing will continue.

...Kaito was already sick. He can be the victim. Not only that, but Kokichi had already locked him up in the exisal hangar. There was nowhere for him to run.

Rantaro took a secret entrance into the hangar, knocked out Kokichi by hitting him over the head, knocked out Kaito by hitting him over the head also once he found him. Apparently those two were planning something. Not anymore. He grabbed the antidote that Kokichi had been about to give Kaito, giving it to the unconscious supreme leader instead before dragging Kaito towards the hydraulic press. That electrobomb that Kokichi set off made it easy for him to kill Kaito with the press, and he left through the back door, leaving Kokichi unconscious on the ground and Kaito dead.

It would have been the perfect crime... If Tsumugi hadn’t been in the way of his escape route back to the library’s secret room. To think that he had snuck his way back to the library perfectly only for it to end here. It would take a lot of lying to get out of this one..

{❧} ---- “Oh finally! I found one of you! I just woke up from a coma or something I was so confused. What’s going on and where is everyone?”

The ex-mastermind had been in their medical ward for about a month now, and while he hadn’t been able to come and visit yet, he felt obligated to do it sooner than later. Naegi and Hinata had argued over whether or not it was a good idea to rescue someone who had vengefully decided a world without Danganronpa wasn’t a world worth living in, but their respect for human life won the day, and it seemed luck was in their favor. She seemed to be taking the truth better than most, especially given her ‘past life’ as a protagonist.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t come sooner,” he added as he gently rapped the door to the room once more. “Is it alright if I come in?”

Shuichi hated this. He couldn’t stop lying and he was rather irritable. He was pretty sure he was driving even Kokichi Ouma up a wall with how annoying he’s being. But it wasn’t like he could stop. Quarantining the ill from the healthy was all they could come up with for dealing with this. However that wasn’t working since Shuichi was literally the worst person alive with the despair disease.

Each time they think they found a way to keep him with the other sick people he always manages to escape. This time was no different. He was now wandering about the school, and hiding from everyone that was looking for him. It wasn’t long before he turned the corner and bumped into someone though, quickly finding that it was Tsumugi that had found him.

Time to try to run.
