ULTRAKILL - Saviors
Ok but no. No see I'm back on my bullshit because V1 is a murder robot that is either a savior or eternal torment. And both.
V1 is the epitome of war machine. They're either destroying souls for a final freedom from torment through non existence or they are cycling them eternally through death of death again and again. Demons come back as residents of hell, right? The husks are destroyed. (or so I understand)
V1 saves people from an eternity of suffering by destroying them completely to nothingness. It's pain or nothingness for sinners. Where is the line where the punishment is inhuman and outweighs ever crime? Eternity is a heavy weight.
Demons cycle through again and again. They live in hell. They are born of hell. To destroy them you'd have to destroy hell itself. (Which given what we know from the ARG and such... might be a possible endgame... which like... don't even get me STARTED on the implications of that.) V1 is their eternal invocation to pain.
V1 is war. An unending pursuit of blood and violence to perpetuate itself and no other end. Created and instructed to pursue this by the people it now feasts on. Just as War does.
Salvation and Desolation. V1 becomes their God.
And the Angels.... Oh my god the ANGELS.
The angels have to defend hell. The angels become torment incarnate. The angels of their merciful heaven willing to forgive those who call out for it are now only wardens of eternal torture and damnation because there IS NO GOD LEFT TO CHANGE CIRCUMSTANCES ACCORDING TO THEIR HIERARCHY AND RULE.
Their god was a fallible god. One who acted on emotion and created an unspeakable torture and lamented its creation AND DID NOT UNDO IT.
And now the angels serve this evil and preserve it. They wish to see it continue as is and function in perpetuity. They will defend evil from V1 to stop the husks from 'escaping' their torment.
The angels become unholy in their lack of mercy and compassion when facing an eternity without chances of forgiveness. Because again. At what point does any crime in the face of eternity tip from 'bad enough for this' to 'not bad enough for this'.
Eternal torment being 'deserved' was something even the former god recognized as a mistake. Torment being 'deserved' at all being in question because of it.
Oblivion is salvation when heaven is denied. V1 is humanity's own oblivion. V1 is their own creation. V1 is their god. V1 is their usurping of the former God. Surpassing that god's decree by finding a way out of hell beyond their proclamations. V1 is humanity's avenging angel and divine judgement upon themselves. Able to defeat angels and out maneuver the former god.
Humanity's pursuit of war and self destruction becomes what makes them divine.
To be human is to be a god of war and to beg their own self created god of war to come for them if they wish for escape.
Humanity is spite.
V1 is dues ex machina. God from the machine.
V1 is fast and efficient. The haste for the pursuit of death. That being able to out perform and destroy the slow and steady endurance because of its rapid adaptability by killing V2.
The first iteration. The imperfect rough pass. The hasty attempt.
Ultimately the least able to be controlled and contained.
A problem out of hand and out of control.
War bleeding everything dry with no stopping until there is nothing left to bleed.
War destroying itself by its own existence.
How human of V1.
