✦ Marcela came off as too carefree, like she wouldn’t actually be committed to a relationship with Eliza (to be fair, she wouldn’t. Marcela is not into ghosts). Eliza picked up on that real quick and went in for the slap. Marcela tried to dodge but still managed to get hit. She wasn’t super fussed about impressing the ghost anyway, and sat on the sidelines to watch everyone else try and fail

✦ Mithras would start off impressing Eliza, and it looked like he was about to make it through without being slapped. He was polite, charming, and lied to fit the requirement of having a dog. Then she asked him to sing. Mithras didn’t really want to, and hesitated slightly. Right as he resolved to sing anyway, Eliza slapped him. Annaliese had to physically hold Mithras back to stop him from throwing hands afterwards
Annaliese Eberhardt
✦ Wouldn’t get slapped
✦ Seeing how poorly everyone else’s attempts were going, Annaliese ran off to her room before her turn came up. She brought back a gift for Eliza, a small sculpture that she had recently finished. Something to bribe her with in an underhanded attempt to not get slapped. Eliza found the gesture sweet, and that paired with Annaliese’s respectful attitude got her a pass
Harvey Fulton

✦ Instead of going through all those requirements, Harvey would just try to use his unique magic in order to make her think he fits the bill. Unfortunately for him, his unique magic doesn’t work on ghosts. The moment she realised he was trying to trick her he got slapped
