For the ask game: 1, 5, 13, 17, 27
Answer as many or as few as you want, but I am deeply curious about these six XD
1) What is the crackiest* thing you’ve ever written? (*I mean this with great affection)
Friend, you know which one it is. We're writing it together. 🤣
But no, seriously, Crack AU aside, even my crack ideas, I don't think can be fully classified as crack, because I make them make sense in their context. In general, I prefer humor to straight crack.
This being said, there is certainly something to say about the general concept of forcing two eldritch gods to work as caretakers at a preschool.
5) How do you know when you’re finished writing a fic? At what point do you call it done?
I actually usually plan the ending pretty early in a fic. Most of my ideas start with a pretty clear beginning and ending...it's just the entirety of the middle part that is incredibly nebulous and very subjected to unforeseen changes. 😂
13) Congratulations, you’ve just finished the WIP you’ve been working on for months! How are you going to celebrate?
Spamming the friends that I know are waiting for it with the link. 😂
17) When you get a new fic idea, what does that look like in your mind? Does it play out like a film? Do you imagine lines of dialogue or a certain moment? Does a character just sit there staring at you?
I think a good way to describe it is that it works on dream logic: sometimes I'm watching the character from an external pov, sometimes I'm inside the actual character and watching everything unfold from their perspective.
The two povs can switch without notice depending on what the mood for the scene demands: if I need to keep track of several characters, external pov with a main character as the focus is what usually happens; if I need to get into a character's head and express their current emotional state, it switches to first-person pov.
27) Share a random sentence from a WIP. The less context, the better. Be confusing.
"You just had to jinx it."
