He wasn’t sure if he was hallucinating, really. There was an amount of lack of sleep going on---since he hadn’t really found where they had lodged him and he wasn’t about to uncomfortably scrunch up among the rubble to sleep. Not to mention he was positioned by the edge of the city where the foggy haze was just rolling in. Could be something from the mist.

But no, the figure was moving towards him, and his heart was falling directly into his stomach. He couldn’t look away nor could his brain quickly decide on what course of action to take. Mouth completely dry, he just stared up at Abbacchio from where he was crouched down in the rubble as the other stopped walking. This could still be a dream. Or a hallucination. There was always that chance. Quickly grabbing some rubble, nothing to big, he chucked it at the other... Only to watch it clink off of his head.

“Merda---!”

Quickly gaining his thoughts, he tried to scramble away, forgetting he was inches from the ground and falling face first into the dirt and rubble. Figures. He probably should have gotten that beauty sleep everyone always talks about. Groaning, he doesn’t even bother getting up, staying where he’s fallen.

“Either I’m dead and in hell, or God has forsaken me---which really seems like the same thing.”
