Untuckit.
While out in the car today, I heard one of those commercials for “Untuckit”. It’s the shirts you can wear untucked and look great. I looked up the website when I got home, and my my what a rackit they got going. They all look like regular shirts like from Target, you’d wear untucked. I didn’t notice anything special about them, except the price. When I was growing up, the only thing that was labeled UN was 7-up, the Uncola. Now keep your clothes untucked and you’ll be cool and hip. Heck, most of my relatives wear their shirts untucked. To be honest, half of them have their pants unzipped, also. Pants unbuckled? Very often also. Having a word that starts with “UN”, can be good sometimes and bad at others. Going someplace special and your car is unwashed, Bad! Received a notice in the mail for UNpaid taxes, Bad. Got a blind date with a lady who’s known for being Uninhibited. Could be good. With my relatives growing up, if you showed up at a family gathering with your shirt tucked in, the first thing you’d hear muttered is “Who does that big shot think he is?” Yep, I was a part of the untucked crowd before it became a thing. Now I have to figure out why I see kids walking around with their shoes untied. The only time you’ll see my shoes untied is if the cats have been trying to play with them. To be honest, more times than not, “UN” leads to disappointment. I told my wife that this evening I might need us to go up to bed early and watch TV, and she can hold me. She responded with: “That’s Unlikely”!
