Azerothian Botany - Bloodpetal
Un’Goro bloodpetals are actually ambulatory plant creatures, but they go through part of their natural lifecycle as a plant before transforming into a lasher.
Bloodpetal seeds, which are orange in appearance, grow on trees in the southeastern region of Un’Goro Crater. As soon as they mature, the seeds fall into the river where they are pulled north by the river current. The seed eventually develops into a stationary bloodpetal sprout, which then hatches after an indeterminate period of time [Quest: Carried on the Waves]. According to the RPG, it takes a sprout several months to develop “legs” [RPG: Monster Guide]. These sprouts are edible [Quest: Here Lies Dadanga].
When bloodpetals hatch, they quickly form groups to offset their weakness with overwhelming numbers. The juvenile lashers typically keep to themselves, but can be extremely dangerous when they feel threatened [Quests: Bouquets of Death]. Adult lashers are also fairly passive and do not lash out unless they perceive a threat, but they are equipped with thorns that exude a crippling toxin, making them much more capable of defending themselves [RPG: Monster Guide].
Adult bloodpetals reach approximately five feet in height [RPG: Monster Guide].
Evening in Un'Goro
Today’s little drawing session. When I checked the votes for what theme I should draw, it was a tie between Dinosaurs and Hearthstone, so here is King Krush (The blue one because I think they forgot he was green in WoW or something?)
