Onkar Tendulkar🇮🇳 wrote : 7th century Unakoti archaeological site in Tripura (India). Unakoti's remote location, along with its surrounding hills and lush jungles add to the mystery of this place, where one can see large stone carvings of Hindu Gods and Goddesses in tribal style. Seen here in front is the elephant God Ganesha. Faces of Durga and other Gods can be seen on the hill in background.

Far from the beaten track, getting to see these millénium old magnificent sculptures is nothing short of a pilgrimage in itself!
